Isn't the fragrance load the percentage of total wax, not total volume? If so, with 45 oz of wax and 5 oz of fragrance oil, the fragrance load would be 11%. Starting with total volume, dividing the volume by 1 plus the fragrance load percent converted to a decimal would give the needed amount of wax. Using the example candle in the video, 50 oz / 1.1 = 45.45 oz of wax. Subtracting that from the total volume, the fragrance oil amount would be 4.55 oz. Personally I prefer to use grams instead of fractions of an ounce.

I like your video. One problem I am running into is that many of the wicks do not tell me what number they are. You are the first person I heard to say I can burn my candle after 4 - 5 hours. Is that because of the wax you are using?

Hi! You may pour an ounce of fragrance onto a standard plate. Place the diffuser in the middle of the pool. You will notice the fragrance will absorb quickly. You can repeat this process a second time to see if it will absorb excess fragrance on the front panel of the ceramic diffuser to make it a cohesive color. Hope this help! :)
