Because it’s been covered many times. However to offer you an answer there is a metal window guard with a plastic wedge to spread a 1/2” opening for the tool to fit through. Thank you.
Personally, Mychal, go to see you overthink your content in the aspect. If you thinking, your work isn’t good and thinking your edits and content isn’t good frightens me you’re one of the best and have showed him birth birth, the career of many technicians, because of how great you are, your continent is amazing. Your work is great. Don’t let anybody else tell you otherwise thank you for helping me.
What!!! The first time I’ve had my car fix by PDR was in the late 90s ,I was amazed how good it came out , the going price back then was $100 per panel , so if you had 5 or one ding on the panel the complete panel was fixed it was a 100 bucks , now they charge per inch ???WTF !!!
Call your local PDR technician and see if he charges per panel? Also, my cost still beats any body shop. It might not be the cheapest but I can tell you I give peoples time which is priceless to my clients. Thank you for your input. 😉
That was decades ago. It's like saying why I charge $1200 to replace front seat leather covers vs getting them fully re Upholstered, you are probably looking at about $600 to $800 on leather hides plus some more materials alone if that's the route we go with.
@@denttime I’m from NYC and Actually about a year ago I used a guy to get a dent out of the hood on my M6 , The pressure washer nozzle shot out under pressure wasn’t locked in properly, He came to my house and charged me $150 , he didn’t measure the dent it was per dent not per panel , I broke his balls a little and told him it used to be per panel they fixed , of course depending how bad the damage was , He charged 150 per dent but if you had extras he cut you a deal , I know yours was on a body line but so was mine and he got it out perfectly, Don’t get me wrong I’m not against your work or your prices I’m just sharing my experiences , you seem very professional and do excellent work
@@Antimatter. thank you. Yes you’ll get different quotes from different companies. Most PDR companies were trained how to fix dents and weren’t taught well enough about business. I like to be transparent and show how I come up with my cost so my clients can expect not only consistent and honest pricing but results that reflect my value. Thanks for your input.
I'm really jealous of seeing your work, there is no such technician nearby for me to have my car dent done, they charge hefty price with unsatisfied work.
Pricing for this should have been 1,800 to 2k maximum. This is based on Alabama, Missouri and Oklahoma body shop pricing. Also 10.5 hours is way too long based on this damage.
Care to have any experience backing up your claim? 😆 so a body shop can do it faster and better within 10 hours WITHOUT REPAINTING? Removing a dent this advanced without having to repaint and handing the client their vehicle back the same day is unheard of for any body shop in any part of the country, none the less the world.
I'M not against drilling not all dents work out the way we want so I drill to put A TOOL ON IT SO MUCH FASTER AND CLEANER. TRUTHFULLY MOST ALL DENT GUYS DRILL! IF THEY SAY THAT THEY DON'T THERE FULL OF CRAP!
I like the idea of learning how to do this properly but i just checked prices of some of these tools. $700au for a light, Average over $100au for any of the bars.. It prices me out of wanting to do this.. I think i might try and make them myself.. Having said that, I do like watching how you go about your work. Cheers
Up here in Canada mechanics drill holes throughout vehicles to spray rust check in the panels to prevent rust from the salt used on the roads. Very common even on brand new vehicles.
