Great concept! And I love the explanation of hills behind and to the right. Sun Tzu doesn't say anything about threatening people? Demons and magic I get, but that was unexpected.
It's the art of war, not the art of diplomacy. He does say that it is better to win without fighting though, so if threats get you that, then you followed his rules.
Love this! I thought I was the only one who enjoyed playing as the weakest minor factions in the game and turning them into an absolute powerhouse. Confederating Legendary lords from major factions is always fun too.
BTW the islanders are an extension of another mod called the Jade Blooded Vampires, Curse of Nongchang. Instead of a cursed hospital/hospice with vengeful spirits. It is a cursed land led by a young maiden's corpse controlled by all the evil in that land. The result of a failed cleansing ritual to contain the evil with in. Back to the Islanders, look at the flavour text of the buildings, and units. There is some story to the events that happened at the hospital/hospice, it is well done.
Thanks for the comment! I'd seen that there was the Curse of Nongchang mod but I never got around to playing it. All the flavor text I did read was excellent and I'm sure that the other plot stuff that was included by the modder is similarly high quality.
I have to say "Siege!" seems to be a large issue. I mod often and haven't found a good siege fix; VenrisSFO also has had the same issue. The pathing I have fixed. The AI issues I have tried, and an iterative library fix from human players works but it is too intensive. Simplified library is pretty good if it is kind of stationary. If I programmed as much as I play I would have a solution but meh. Its still fun with quirks. There is an anime with bugged gamer called "Shangri-La Frontier" emphasizes bugs making better gamers. Cheers.
That was super painful to watch it live; there isn't a single second where Elspeth does something right, the atrocious unit pathfinding, the spells not working...
Okay I've checked for you and it seems like it doesn't change field battles but does change settlement battles. The mod says it's not supported for latest version but it worked fine for me today. Hope this helps!
