@@RandallGreenwood3 I’ve had two solo cams. First one was a Mathew’s switchback and second was a Mathew’s z7. They were fantastic bows and I loved them both and killed a bunch of deer with each. Ain’t a thing wrong with em that’s for sure
@@Artisanwoodworks73 it is! I just bought a new can. It’s not 100% but I feel like it definitely give a huge edge over tradition cover scents as I feel tradition cover scents doesn’t truly work at all for me. It’s definitly worth the $16 ish bucks per can.
@@jextergaming1423 I hadn’t even drawn the bow yet. He actually is about 30 yards over into the neighbors yard when the shot took place. Plenty safe distance away from me and the shot. I am very safe and I know my boys can be wild and am always aware of where they are when we are doing anything that can be potentially unsafe for them or myself.
@@bcoutdoorsmedia I know brother, I didn't mean you did anything wrong, was just joking is all, wasn't actually insenuating he was in danger although I see how it could be read that way. Sick range btw
@@jextergaming1423 I gotcha. No worries. Luckily I have a really long side yard that I can shoot around 80 yards in, and I tore down a swingset in the spring and used the treated lumber to build the target shelter/hanger. Don’t really know what to call it but it has been working fantastic!! Kinda wish I made a video of building it now lol. Thanks for watching!! 😄
@@Sjahs-rv2sp after editing a few shooting videos when you slo mo anything, it looks to have way more recoil than it actually does. It snappy like any 9mm. Not as bad as it looks though
@@crowels12 I sure can. I have the sights removed like in the video but I can definitely make a short of how to adjust them and will comment here when it’s uploaded
Nice shotgun ! I have a BPS Ducks Unlimited special edition 20 gauge , great quality shotguns, that will outlast you and your grandchildren and their grandchildren too . I have owned many many shotguns throughout my lifetime and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ( pump / slide actions ) all rattled, I don’t care if it’s a Remington or Mossberg or Ithaca or Browning, they ALL rattled, some more some less . It’s just the nature of the mechanics involved in a “ slide action “ ( pump ) the action bars that carry the bolt group slide along the recesses within the receiver to cycle the action and there has to be relatively loose movement for it to effectively and freely move without binding . It’s gonna rattle ! End of story !
@@NorthwoodsNomad yea it is a great fun. Just feeling it and cycling it just feel like smooth and heavy duty… quality. I shook my 870 and now my kids maverick bantams and you are correct, they rattle 😂 no doubt just how the pump action shotgun is designed. Thanks for watching
@@independentthinker8930 I don’t blame ya there at all. To each his own. These just fit the bill for us, light and didn’t break the bank on me for the kids and they seem to enjoy them now and hope to put a late season squirrel hunt together with them in the future hopefully
@@justinfoster4785 I’m not sure to be honest. Could have something to do with it but I would think my scent woulda been gone soon enough for em to get interested in it. Also they may love corn coat when no other option is next to it for them to eat but who knows really
Hey bud. Looking at this or the cva wolf. I love the way the Traditions looks more than the cva, plus ive got a traditions derringer thats made remarkably well for a "budget" firearm. Really like the info you gave here, like that it feels more like a rifle than a musket type. Def helping! Happy and safe shooting brother
@@Lolyewmadbruoh thanks glad it helped. I really enjoy this muzzloader more than any other I have had in the past. Shouldering it is way better than the cva optima I had. Wish you the best which ever you decide.
how was this possible ? crossbow season ky for 24 25 season opens the 21st of sept not the 7th im gald he killed a buck jsut dont want to get him in trouble
@@jacobcarter566 the law states that crossbows can be used by youth and seniors/disabled starting same time as archery opener. He’s 10 so he’s good to go.
When I did load development for the 6.5 CM version I ran into vertical stringing as well. My theory was the powder was too slow and I wasn't getting a full burn. I switched to faster powders and eventually got 5 shots in a 3/4" group at 75 yards. I was using TAC.
Man, I can’t thank you enough for this content. I am attempting to clean my grandpa‘s 742.243 right now and trying to use it for this upcoming rifle season and hopefully get my first albino buck that I’ve been growing for a few years now, I’ve been wanting to shoot it with his gun in his memory, and I had no idea how to get this thing apart until I came across your video. Thank you again, brother.
Please use proper tools and protect the metal from the jaws of pliers. I own two 742's in 30:06 which were recently given to me. I need to clean them properly and thank you for the information as to how to disassemble.
Awesome job bud! This model has a bad name for jamming but i realized most people never really cleaned them properly and oiled them to death thinking it would fix the problems most of the time the problem was in the spring from the action of firing it so much they get weak from over year's. The clips also was one of the major factors for jamming.
@@briancaldwell1798 Thank you and thanks for watching! any gas driven auto like this one needs regular good cleaning of parts inside and most people just don’t do it and it runs into problems but they can be fixed with a little work thankfully and back to functioning just fine.
I was looking at one of those at Walmart today and they had a low medium and high-grade of the same design same company I might spend the extra hundred and get the better one. Thank you for the quality information. I love the transfer of knowledge.
@@troypeterson5536 I sure enjoy this one and am more confident in it than I have ever been in any other muzzleloader I have had in the past and for the price I can’t beat it. Good luck with your as well
I have this also with the same scope and a Howa Mini-action I mounted in a Boyd's At-One Thumbhole stock and an AR with a 20" barrel. Really love the Grendel. This is a 5/8x24 Thread on mine. It works with my can without an adapter. Really accurate overall and the trigger on mine is about 2 lbs. I loaded rounds with BLC2 which did very well from the short barrel.
@@MrTacklebury awesome. I cannot wait til November to try to get a deer with it. This is the only fun ima carry this season I think and don’t get me started on the howa mini action. That thing is a lazer. I bought the 6.5 Grendel for my kids for bullet size and recoil or lack of I guess and I have found myself in a position now that it is one of my very favorite rounds. It so fun to shoot
@@joegarcia2354 awesome! Glad you got one. They are gorgeous and great shooters. Yes very hard to find. I had to call around places to find this one when I did and I actually found it at Budsgunshop but it wasn’t listed online, they just happened to have it in the store. I have another video of the matching sa-22 in maple as well. Had hard time finding that one too. Love the maple browning! Enjoy yours!!
@@Daniel-p5b6w They hung in trees bout 50% of the time. Lol I assume that what the comment meant about nursing home attitude because my voice changed and sounded a little rough when the fish wiggled. When ya got a fish spur poking in ya hand it’s hard not to sound that way lol. They prolly never experienced that. Thanks for watching!
@@wwaldok mine is 1:8 twist. I don’t know that I have seen a 9 twist in any 6.5 except the old 260 Remingtons. They may be out there though. I also have two 260 rems and they are 8 twists as well. I’d say you could probably get a custom barrel with 9 twist but that may get rid of any 140 grain option but with Grendel I guess that would t really matter much.
@@bcoutdoorsmediaI believe it means he’s being so mean to the kid that the kid will send his father to a nursing home instead of taking care of his father. Completely wrong if you ask me because if your kid is going to do it ain’t nothing that could stop it. There are horrible parents who get taken care of and great parents who go to a home. And there’s nothing wrong with this dad as far as I can tell in the video.
@@Hearmeout222 thank you. That makes sense. That person who commented has never had a fish spur poking in their hand before either I bet.
