My channel covers a variety of topics including personal electric vehicles, Tesla, amateur how to videos, exercise, chickens, RC, volleyball, race timing and just plain out weirdness. Thanks for stopping by!
I'd luv to take that ET max on some of the black diamond Arizona trails I take my Patton on with rattlesnakes no gators sorry . Where do I sign up with Jason😁!!! nice video was very relaxing after my ride. Glad the big gator is ok
Is yours a 42”? Could you tell me the size of your deck belt? Having a helluva time finding what size it is- I think the one that was on mine was too big
Awesome stuff! I used your video for reference! I did exactly the same! Changed the bulbs and proceeded to change out the relay! All is working nicely!👍👍👍👍
I have this tire that came stock on a new V4 and it is way out of round; even after the deflate, lube, massage, inflate routine. Perhaps round tires are not at the top of their mission statement.
Thank you for the explanation. I'm working on my 98 tacoma sr5 2.4. Replacing mine is so much easier than that 99. Mine is on top. Wouldn't you freaking know... the break in phase has been the biggest bitch. Its running super rich and sputtering in low speeds. Even dies. I've disconnected the battery for 30 min. Didn't touch the fuze. Reconnected battery and let her idle for 10 min. The easiest freaking thing to fix turns into a headache. Do you have any ideas? I'm sure you are loving your 16 even more. Cheers
@@Duf from what i understand, it can take some time for the ECU to recalibrate the air fuel mixtures. I read it can take up to 50 mi of driving for everything to balance out.
Wow what a horrible review maybe next time you review something you put it in the video instead of your dirty house why is the board in the background yet your face in the camera
Nice video 👍 I dislike tire changes like you, but unlike you, I don't do them 😆 Hey, I could use a set of quality long reach Allen wrenches. How about a link to those? And the magnetic grabber.
@@djwhiteflour I've rarely owned a wheel that had much more than 2000-miles. I've owned 40 wheels over 8-years (and tested over 50) so none of them tend to get a lot of wear and tear.
I've done one tire change so far and I really like the idea of using the zip ties to keep from puncturing the rim. Another thing that I'm going to try on my next tire change will be to use a little olive oil to help it slip into the rim.
Good video bro and thank you for sharing. One possibility is that the tire could be "Out of Round" making it defective. Before coming to that conclusion, I would suggest just repeat the steps of disassembly and have the wheel and rim free from the EUC chassis (So you can quickly flip it over many times to check for perfect seating.) Then I suggest you deflate tire, position the tire on the rim until the bead markers are even all around the rim, use a tire lubricant and spray on the bead. Check for seating on both sides, and pump 2-3 psi at a time to check for seating. If the seating looks good at 10 psi, then rapidly inflate with a compressor (not one of those slow air pumps) to 50-55psi and let the beads of the tire pop on the rim. This should help the stubborn side walls snap into place (with the lubricant!) and not kink up deeper below the edge of the rim. If that doesnt work after assembly, you can deflate the tire all the way, idle back and forth from a stationary position to help massage the tire, and then attempt a reseat (again when your wheel is all assembled). If all fails, try another tire lol . Lubricant will really help :)
Easy to get the wheel out! Try getting a heavy rubber mallet let the tire down put some dish soapy water around the beads then put about 10lb air in the tire, tape on a zip tie each side and turn the wheel by hand, looking at the zip tie to tire relation and bang the tire with the mallet to knock out the wobbles.
I used to fit Pirelli Phantom silver spot tires to bikes like this back in the day ... works very well when you get used to it. Here is an example of someone doing it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kC55dXfYL_0.html
Its sad that Begode stopped making "Gotway Luffy" euc model, which was even smaller and lighter in weight and could travel faster and longer. It makes no sense they stopped making it.
The exact same thing happened on my 242 yesterday. The tips of my blades got so thin. They bent downwards causing a crop circle effect! 😂😂 your video helped me though. Thanks!
I'm 165 pounds and run my tire at 22 psi. Just did a 50 mile ride with 4800 feet of elevation gain and about 60% of that ride was off road. Got home and my battery was at 24%.
Seeing shibbies post out of context can certainly hurt sales. Not everyone who wants to find out more about wheels knows about the ppl already established in the community. For me, I know he is hard on the wheels so I didn't question the wheels integrity from the post.
Hey Duf, seems like a great decision, a no-brainer. I had my eye on it as well but my wife talked me off the ledge. On the pev front getting back to riding again and have the GTS.
Tesla self driving cars - one of these things runs someone down and the damages Tesla should be liable for (and paying) should be eye watering even for them.
@@Duf Maybe, but human error while all due diligence was being observed is one thing, but automation is quite another, nothing but a perfect record is going to be acceptable and that just isn't going to happen.
FYI if you have home link on you garage door opener you can link MyQ to your Tesla via software. No install involved. Pretty cheap too you can pay monthly yearly or lifetime and it’s transferable.
Hey, Duf, I'm curious about the full house solar system you installed at your other house several years ago. Since that is all behind you now, what were your thoughts about solar then and solar now? Just something you might talk about in a future video.
My thoughts are if you plan to live at that location for an extended period of time it is worth it but you have to wait a long time until you break even financially.
Did it occur to you that some of those people in the "shady" cars might be looking at you and thinking, "shady" - some creep filming himself in a car😆 Congrat's on the new toy
My wife and I were visiting a friend in the hospital. When we left, there was an absolute downpour of rain. Everybody was waiting for the rain to let up. We had the 30 days of free FSD and we summoned our Model Y and it came right to the door which was under a canopy. We now have a Model S and for some reason "summon" isn't available. Hmm.
It's not available because all new Teslas are "vision only" (uses only cameras) and no longer have the proximity sensors in the bumpers. Supposedly this is going to be corrected in the future and vision only cars should have the same features.
We loved our Model Y. I did buy a shade for the glass roof. It helped tremendously. Ours was the long range. We sold it and bought an S Plaid. It has four modes ... Chill, Sport, Plaid, and Insane. My wife keeps it in Sport mode and I keep my settings on Plaid mode. This car will never see the Insane mode. It is already ballistic enough in Plaid mode. We put 55,000 miles on the Model Y. Tesla offered us $26K and I advertised on FB Marketplace and sold it for $33K to a wholesaler out of Texas within an hour. I love that blue color and I know you will have a blast with the performance version. Congratulations.
On the bright side there are tons of upgrades and after market products you can get, plus your car has some things like the passenger lumbar support and USB data to all the ports in the car. I think Tesla even does an auto-lift gate for older model 3s now so you can have that retrofitted.
