@@evilangel_1919 Don't listen to him, BMS is awesome as an F-16 sim. I'm more of a DCS fan, but BMS is really notable for it's flight model and systems modelling, and is not that demanding as DCS is. And yes, MSFS is trash
I actually really like msfs, as visual is incredibile and there's some super nice aircraft in the market, not the f-16 though.. Bms is the best thing ever if you couldn't join the air force
@@evilangel_1919 Truuue, it's just my own prejudice about all the civilian traffic flight simulators. I'm a guy kink on a military simulations, you know :D
How do you choose what block F16 to fly? I just installed BMS and am setting everything up to test and I assume mine is the block 32 coz I have the old hud
The vast majority of models have the classic WAC HUD (Wide Angle Conventional, I think it's called). If you're playing in the campaign, you can choose different squadrons from different air bases, and some have the F-16CM Block 40 with the WAR HUD (Wide Angle Raster). You can also create your own missions outside of the campaign, choosing whatever you want, in the Tactical Engagement section.
What's with the sound at 0:53 ?? It should be the sound of rounds, not a windows system error alert? I like these shorts from your missions too. I was an avid fan of Loric and Unleashed Code back in the day when he did His 30 to 40 minute vids.
@@BuggSmasher maybe you're referring to the growling when the weapon cue is looking at the horizon, it's more rougher and distorted when there's not a clear ir source (and I don't think that was like this in the old falcon days). My settings are also the standard ones, which replicate the sounds heard through the helmet
Crazy clips like this is a good reminder that I need to get out of my comfort zone of "dropping GBU-12s from FL220 on defenseless T-55s". Time to brush up my knowledge on Offset Aiming point, CCIP and TFR.
Brother your graphics look amazing do you use any specific mods or graphics settings to make the game like that or you use an filtering in post edit? It's really good
@@Giatros10 4.37.4 is the last, so you should have the same graphics of the clip. I'm running all default settings with aa samples at 2, resolution 1080p (it's a fake 4k in the video, to cheat youtube compression)
@evilangel_1919 I'm running it on 1440p res and your graphics still look much better also I have done some work on the nvidia panel settings should I turn them back to default? For example I have antialising on 16x should I turn the settings from the nvidia panel all to default the same in game also should I turn them to default?
@@Giatros10 I have an amd card, so I don't know... you can try reverting some settings, but I suppose you're affected by a bit of placebo.. keep in mind that this is standard Korea, and not all theaters have pbr models
I've never been this close to death (except for all the times I've died 😂). The thing is that the PL-15 has a huge range, but this means you have a lot of space to maneuver to deplete its energy. Flying low, notching and with the help of chaff you can increase your survivability... But I barely made it this time.
Damn flying below allowed mission alt is crazy! Rules of engagement out the window when you got the SA awareness of a hawk. I'm pretty sure you had more 120's after you fired your first one. Then upon hearing the growl of an aim9 following that shot was an impressive decision when you're in a knife fight in a phone booth
I had another 120 and a couple of Sidewinders! But you know, "too close for missiles, switching to guns". Flying this way is less realistic but way more exciting ;)
Nice. I have no real idea what was going on there (why was there a 22 spike for instance ?), but that was pretty exciting. No AAA around the runway though ?
The '22' in BMS represents the radar signal of the J-20 (also the F-22). The hammering beeping with the 'M' indicates its incoming missile. I should have stopped the bombardment to go defensive, but it's not real life ;) There was a lot of AAA like Shilkas and Tunguskas, but the tracers are not very visible
It occurs to me that the aircraft is *suggesting* you pull up. Great kills! Hope to gear back up and return to the Viper cockpit. Casual Open Falcon 4.7/SP4 player, 10-year-old me had too much fun playing Instant Action & Dogfight.
Pretty much everything but graphics (it's getting close though), plane variety (only f-16/15 full fidelity right now) and AG radar. BMS has better IA, better FM, bigger maps, exceptional ATC and comms, less bugs, data cartridge! The systems in the F-16 are not eye candy, there is so much deepness behind. You need to follow the checklist otherwise it's easy to fuck something up like frying the avionics or melting the engine. The enemy is so damn smart that they keep their radar off to sneak up behind you...
Once you try a dynamic campaign, you will see. Everything just feels alive, there is so much going on. And nothing is scripted in a dynamic campaign. You just have to experience it.
Was on patrol with a battle waging underneath. The nearby city was in flames - looked pretty epic from up high - but it was a quiet patrol so I cheated and used external cam to see what was going on down below…. Looked really impressive. Scrolled through all of the units until I came across an SA-2 site tracking something in the sky….
It is the left display of the f-16, showing the infrared image of the targeting pod. I was searching for targets in the dynamic campaign and I found this town in the middle of a battle
when you are constantly monitoring radar, hsd, tgp, building SA with mark 1 eyeballs, managing IA or teammates, comms, iff, and at the same time avoiding the enemy, graphics are the least thing you're paying attention to. And it's not even 1997 graphics, because every patch is better than the one before. With 4.38 the terrain will be better than DCS
I was just doing a mission to a radar installation in the western part of the DPRK. Flight was easy at first but then somehow we got jumped by Mig-21s while hitting the ground target. Best feeling and best dynamic campaign engine ever.
