I'm a Fashion Design Professor at Parsons School of Design in NYC. On this channel I explore CLO3D fashion design and digital fashion concepts. Let's call it Fashion Edutainment!
Great video! I love this tool and I am planning to start working on CLO3D asap. I see so many online courses...do you have any advice on where to starter? Are you doing online courses? Thank you in advance
I am sure there are other courses and RU-vid channels. I teach at Parsons School of Design and there is an online certificate program. It has 4 levels. I teach level 3.
can you please tell how did you arranged the two garments (transparent and non transparent fabric together) when I'm applying the translucent effect it is being applied on all , please let me it will be very helpful
@@user-wb2cy9mb2k Then copy the fabric and assign the new one only for the ones you want to be transparent. That way CLO will perceive these patterns as a different fabric and will only change the transparency for those.
Failed to Cut some Patterns. Internal Lines must not overlap with the Pattern outline. If there are no overlaps, please set the Particle Distance of the Pattern to a larger value and try again. How to fix ? Pls Help
Wow. Your explainations are so better. I remember struggling to create a harness vest cause i couldnt make the straps 'hard enough'. Thanks for putting in this work.
My chosen print does not show up on my avatar and in the fabric window. It is just white. The apply and apply and close button does not place the print. How can I solve it?
I'm still waiting for better avatars to create close fittings garments, especially lingerie. Not being able to change the bust sizing is the only disadvantage. Its cool that they added the soft body feature but it's far from being a perfect science if we are doing custom bodies outside of a standard sample size. I do find Vstitcher avatars have more options to truly fine tune the body measurements however its abit harder to use for those who aren't use to the UI
You can change the size of the avatar to whatever custom measurements you want including height and bust measurements. Just open the Avatar Size by going to Main Menu > Avatar > Avatar Editor > Avatar Size
@@BobbinTalk Unfortunately I’ve tried a few times on different scales and the cup is always incorrect and I find it’s better to flat pattern draft then rely on the avatar fitting.
What is the meaning of 25% in Render (25% 2550X3300) - In render title ? sometimes this percentage changed. My rendering getting finished within 4-5 minutes whatever settings I Used ! is it normal while I'm using Ryzen 7 7700 and RTX 3060 12GB VRAM?
At the start of the pandemic, I started working with a clothing company, and I discovered this software at the same time. I was very excited about it. I bought a brand new, powerful PC, just to be sure I could run Clo3D, but Clo3D was so slow that I couldn't stand using it. I gave up on it after a couple months. But, I'm still fascinated by it and still want to learn it. I just don't know how people can do it. I can't imagine that everybody has a vastly better PC than the one I bought which was obviously far beyond the specs recommended by Clo3D specs. And it was costing me $50.00 a month to wrestle with it. But, I'm still interested to learn it so I might give it another shot. Or I might try the other one which is available, Style3D.
great talk and i m using clo 3d now and finally feel have a software only for designers otherwise using photoshop or any other software felt under utilised
If I could upload my specific measurements to create myself as an avatar I’d be all in. That way I can truly understand & reference the fit of an item.
@@BobbinTalkyes sorry, once you create a flat pattern in CLO3D can I use a projector to project the pattern onto fabric and cut instead of printing out on paper and cutting it out.
