nice. i do something similar but not every day, 3 times i week. i do pull ups 4 x 8, push ups (on a bar) 4 x 20 and leg lifts on the double bars 4 x 15, then side karate kicks left+right 10 x 4 and front kicks 10 x 4. i do it in the sweaty heat here in Asia, outside in the park. i want to do those pull ups where they can get to the top of the bar and turn it into a push up, but even though I've been at it for 4 years I can't. the kicks too, tbh I'm starting to think those guys that make it looks so easy must be on roids or something. or maybe it's their weight...

Good transition. But im not a fan of those ring pullups in the beginning. I assume you are too lazy to adjust them for when you train the actual transition. But optimally you should get a deep stretch in the bottom range, since it builds more muscle when doing so, according to the latest science. So not sure if you could possibly elevate the rack even further. Alternatively i would just do L-sit chinups on the bar itself, since it still has great carryover. OR...you could just spin the rings around the bar 5-10 times. Then im sure they will hang just below the bar and make you able to get that full stretch.
@olympic_steel
@olympic_steel 9 дней назад
@@luffebassen Yes the rings adjust up but you are correct, I am too lazy too keep changing height. I find the most difficult part is getting used to using a false grip. I use this exercise mostly to warmup for assisted muscleups plus toughen my wrist muscles for false grip. I agree , full range is harder and builds more muscle. I appreciate your suggestions and you having a look at training.

With the pull ups, the way you hold your wrists, is that for something? Thank you and great work dad
@olympic_steel
@olympic_steel 24 дня назад
@@Message1326 Yes, wrist position on rings is called a "false grip". The weight of the body is supported on wrist bones instead of finger tips. This allows leverage needed to perform a muscle up, moving from pullup into dip position. I have found the need to strengthen this position over time using mostly this style of pullup. good stuff, I don't know if you do other variations as well, but seeing just this, what comes to mind is to mix in pull ups (overhand grip of the bar), if you find them more challenging then maybe just 1 every 5 or 10 chinups, also lifting your hands overhead after the squat would nicely activate shoulders (then the squat is called a 'thruster')
@olympic_steel
@olympic_steel 26 дней назад
@@maciejguzek3442 thruster? I barely knew her! Just some humor haha, but I do appreciate suggestions. I occasionally work in overhand pullups. Routine regularly has towel chinups and ring work as well. I don't do much other bicep work so chinups get the arms good. And bodyweight squats I find make my lower back round after lots of reps. The prisoner position, hands on temples, seems to keep me more upright compared to a prayer position. Low ceiling so hands overhead difficult in my basement gym. Thank you for watching and commenting on my training.
