Hey man, still enjoying your videos. I did snetterton yesterday and just wondering, do you have any tips for how to remove plops from leathers? Here to taking note of your lines and braking points, cheers!
@@Focused_Veteran haha ohh you know, flying down the back straight, miss your braking marker, then you lay an egg or two in your pants. I kept screwing turn one (brake too hard, tipped in early) and the final long right hander I couldn't gauge the speed. Your vid is helpful for next time
@@bobstheword620 🤣😂 I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about those bud 🤣 I'm no professional and there's naturally people that will make me look like I'm going backwards. But T1, depending on the bike, is way faster than you think, late turn in, miss the first apex/curb, about a meter or so away, back on the throttle and bring it back to the nail the second apex driving hard out of the corner to T2. The left hander after Bentley's straight, you can brake late and hard, you can carry a load of speed into it, I hold third on the R1, keep to the left, then down one into the right, again get the bike upright and on the power as soon as possible.
I watched the guy in the video. Mortor cycle guy. It's weird to say I have a boyfriend like that and at the same time I say like I have never met a guy like that. What do you think about this ? Is he here or not here ?
Either your not in fast group as stated or 90% of the riders in fast group really shouldn't be in there. The lines they're taking and speeds they're going are way too slow for fast group.
Haha I'd normally not respond to comments like this, but it tickled my fancy after having a cursory glance at your channel and your novice and inters footage. Anyone that's done a few track days will know it depends who turns up on the day, one day you're the fastest on track, the other you're wondering if you're in reverse.. that's just the way it goes. I assure you it's the fast group, one of the earlier sessions mind you but fast group it is, normal pace is about 2:12 - 1:50s for the fastest of fast group on track, unless you've got some super stock lads having a play too. Feel free to throw us a video of you showing us how's it done though bud 👍🏻
Watched this as am about to do my first ever track day soon (msv novice). You're so much faster than the rest in the group, are track day groupings wide in talent?
Hiya bud, firstly congrats on booking your first trackday, be forewarned... it's addictive! :) In regards to groupings, totally depends on who turns up on the day, you could have some BSB guys out testing who make mere mortals in fast group look slow, or you could be the quickest there. I'd certainly not worry about it, there's no medals for the fastest lap, MSV are well ran and anyone who needs to move groups is normally dealt with quickly. It's all about enjoying it ,if someone is faster they'll come when safe to do so, just focus on your own ride, don't push beyond what your comfy with and i'm sure you'll have a cracking time. report back and let me know how you get on ;) all the best.
Dude was definitely scared of his own bike, dude was scared of dying, scared of getting caught speeding by police, scared of the icy road, scared of sheep, scared of other cars...dude was scared of being scared.
Hiya buddy, quite simple really, get your ACU License done, join a club, such a Bemsee or NGRCC and enter some races, depending on your bike it'll determine the classes you enter. You can get all the information you need from the Bemsee website, there's a step by step guide 😎
I don't know if bizzy means good or bad my man lol, this was the second session though so still learning the track, check later footage for better lines 💪🏻
Hiya Leigh, it's bit of a bodge job really pal, using a threaded GoPro mount through the gaps in the yoke with a washer and nut underneath to stop it moving, difficult to explain really, pop me a message on my Instagram account "focused_veteran" and I can send you a pic 💪🏻
Did my first track day at Cadwell yesterday and it’s great to see your lines. I was very much using the full width of the track in places I probably didn’t really need to be.
Thanks buddy! Yeah, the weather was great, so hot though, found it difficult goings towards the end, left with 2 sessions still to go. Managed a new PB too which is always nice 😎 hope you're well Abhi, going see you on track soon?
@Chasing Tenths totally understand bud, times are certainly a lot harder than they were, well let me know your plans, pop me a message on Instagram and we'll sort a day out 👍🏻
Nice riding, the bike sounds awesome! Im doing my first 3 days at Portimao early May and will be studying your video / lines :) .....getting butterflies watching this
Thanks bud, you'll love it, crazy track, hopefully the weather is good for you too 💪🏻 don't know what group you're booked in but just take your time, learn the lines. 3 days is plenty to get to grips with it.
@Vicente Arnau could probably go a little lower I guess, depends on your own ability and pace. I found it works fine though, was only our first visit to the track, managed 1:56s on day 3.
Cool vid, nice little bikes I've got a demonx 110 for a little fun wanted a 160 but was no used ones for sale online just waiting for the right one to pop up. Shame they isn't anywhere like this near me for bigger supermotos that looks a little tight for anything bigger than a pit bike. I've got a KTM 525 exc supermoto only track I can think of is cadwell park but that's 2 hours away from me :(
bloody good stuff there mate , great riding , I actually saw you getting a mention on Michael Neeves channel , you asked a question and he answered and question was very good too
Hey Abhi hope you're well bud, thanks for that much appreciated! was a great trip, sadly rained constantly on day 1 but was fine for the last two days. Neeves is a top bloke, seen him at a few rounds of Bemsee racing in MRO Powerbikes, such a vast amount of knowledge and love his content. Hope to see you next year on track! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and the family :)
