I love how quickly this build ramps to killing the back line with tentacles, but I don't love that the passive slap heals are far less useful since there's less total health to apply. I just think the durability is gone with this build, so it only works if you can quickly close the gap and kill with one combo.

Beginner question 1: If Illaoi drags out the spirit while enemy champion attacks Illaoi. Should Illaoi keep hitting the spirit or attack the real enemy champion? Spirit only take 61% or so damage, but this is without considering the pre-mitigated damage, right? According to the E ability description, the more Illaoi takes damage, the more damage is transferred to the spirit. Question 2: So, in this case, does Illaoi do more dmg to the spirit than the actual champion? (if the transferred dmg is really high)
I prefer shojin, It feels more powerfull and enemies explote if they are not tanky also the extra damage helps a lot to oneshot enchanter minions and push faster with 1 item
Xerath support is a major gamble, against a standard adc/enchanter lane its very difficult to play into in all stages of the game. It was good to see that he kept his cool and followed up whenever he could, though i think the extra lethality from Voltaic Cyclosword helped the most with the last pick on the Samira
@@GSwanno not worth it imo. Your abilities root yourself and your minimum full combo cast time is like 2.5s, you're BOUND to get hit, so it's better to survive those hits and then retaliate than hoping no one hits you so you can kill them. It also doesn't give you the SS heals nor the sterak shield for when your healing really counts (low hp).
@@just_a_folk95 tho if you miss combo it doesn't really matter. Voltaic means that you should land your e's almost every time which is like half your damage.
@@mr.pickle6487 yeah but you're way squishier when you try to go for that W slow, if you get intercepted you can die way faster making the play riskier by default.
@just_a_folk95 yeah it's not gonna solve all of illaois problems. It's a give and take: do you need the slow/can you survive or do you just need more tankyness

It would be really nice to have those videos where you make a mistake, it's a little bit more familiar with the normal player experience and at least for me, they are more fun and useful
I tested Shojin about a week ago in practice tool - ghouls/maiden don't stack the damage amp. Just Q/E. Probably want to replace that from your rotation.
He's gotten so much BETTER at those early E's. I used to watch and cringe at his early E's (not that I'm better) but now its like he's tapped into soul stealing as an artform. Narrowly dodging those minions on the redside turret to snag E's like a raver on a mission
