undeserved and before anybody says anything i dont support milan im a madridista now why im saying undeserved is because dudek was so off his line he wasnt even trying to hide it
in 2005 the GK should have had both feet on the line. Dudek and the referee played with the rules of 1920 when the GK could approach the ball up to 6 yd until the penalty kick was taken.
Even as a United fan I was happy for Liverpool when they won, and especially Dudek, he was like a superhero in that game. They definitely deserved the win. One of the most exciting and iconic matches in football history.
F*cking idiots thinking Dudek was good for being 3 foot off his line. The rule, at least one foot on the goal line until the ball has been struck, has been ever present at least my entire life & I'm 45. Otherwise keepers may as well just stand on the edge of the 6 yard box Every single one of Milans penalties should have been retaken & Dudek should have been carded for persistent fouling
I'm a former keeper and think a goalkeeper should be allowed to make a reasonable step (without foot on the line). But what Dudek did that day. Well in the end it doesn't really matter.
Cheating Scumpool, clear and obvious cheating scum! SG dive in the penalty area and dudek walking off his line before the kicks were taken can’t run towards the penalty spot lol you never walk alone
during the UEFA Champions League final in 2005, the rule that required the goalkeeper to have at least one foot on the goal line when a penalty kick was taken was in effect. This rule has been a part of the Laws of the Game for penalty kicks for many years and is enforced by match officials to ensure fair play. If the goalkeeper advanced off the goal line before the ball was kicked, it could result in a retake of the penalty kick, provided that the ball did not go into the net on the first attempt. This rule has been consistent in professional football for a long time and was in place during the 2005 Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan.@@Brouhaha3213
@@anthonym6918 it don't always existed, the rule that say the GK must remains on his goal line until the ball have been kicked was introduced in 1929. Dudek and the referee thought it was 1925, it can happens
As long as i can remember this rule about gk leaving the goal line was added years ago, still referees at the time never punished the gks for doing it. For example in 2003 (2 years prior) this rule was warned by fifa, in the Intercontinental cup match between milan boca, both gks took 3 or 4 steps forward every time (dida included). So in resumee, yes it wasnt allowed to step outside the goal line, but at the same time, referees didnt care about and it was only mentioned by the media.
