Welcome to my journey from being raised poor and on my own to purchasing a $50 000 home with acreage near the ocean.My goal has been to get out of the rent trap and own a home without a mortgage or loan. Finally in 2020 I was able to move across the country to a home and land and start building a homestead.I don't have help unless I can pay someone to do work so I have to learn how to do things and figure it out! I was raised in the city across from Detroit and went to public school (meaning I learned next to no life skills other than life experience). Im in the country debt free but it comes at a price! I only have income from what I earn from online sales each month and no car (have to pay someone around here to take me to town when I need groceries). Its taken a long time to do the things I have been able to do, but worth it. Great shot of the Bee 🐝 gathering pollen. Your garden looks amazing considering you had to wait on the manure. For sure you will get a harvest because everything is thriving and like you said, something is better than nothing 🥰
Awwww thanks so much ! I’m overwhelmed with so much here I’m still working on my garden … didn’t even get everything planted ! But I’m grateful for what I’ll get to harvest !💕🙏🏻
@@SugarDog2006 unfortunately I don’t know how to edit but It’s a portulaca … annual but for me it always kept coming back each year which saves time & work so it’s been great ! & it grows fast & spreads ! 1 seed will quickly over take a hanging basket !!!
It’s ball… a company bought out Ball/ Kerr/ Bernardin etc … they are all made by the same company they just keep the old names so ppl think it’s the same quality! It has always been great quality but not anymore ! I have 100% seal rates I never had a problem with that but it’s the inside of the jar lids that are crumbling & peeled off when I open it
@@jenniferoceanhomestead oh wow. Yes of course I have heard of ball but never had that happen before, it’s a lot of work for that to happen. Hope none of that peeling stuff fell off into the potatoes!
It’s Ball… same company but they just kept the old names before they bought the big name companies … they have been making them thinner & crappier for years now … I hasn’t even been a year ! & it’s the 2nd one so far
They grow those portulacas in Brooklyn alot! ❤❤ I bought non gmo survival seed package for 22$ on Amazon n I'm happy with them. I have enuf for next year. I just need more room n organization next year
