Passover was commanded in the Old Testament for the Jews. Whether or not a Christian celebrates Passover would be a matter of conscience for the individual Christian. Like all the Old Testament Jewish Feasts, the Passover Feast was a foreshadowing of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Col 2:16-17 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. For the Christian, Christ is our Passover lamb because all those things were a shadow of the coming Christ. Now that Christ has come we're not under the ceremonial laws. Why doesn't he ask people to bring goats and lambs instead of cash as contribution. They don't have a temple where all of their members worldwide meet in Jerusalem. When they collect money they don't change it to the Old Testament currency of denarii but accept dollars, euros, cedis etc. as it is.
