I viewed a video of a live concert from SZA 2024 at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NYC, from the SOS Tour, was taken by the guitar player, who turned out to be ☝🏾, ARI. And was I blown away by her playing. Just love seeing and hearing women musicians, they bring out excellent vibes with their VIBES, as ARI DID ❤. 🤩🤫I looked at the video twice, on repeat. 🫵🏽🫵🏽👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯🫵🏽🫵🏽🩸🩸🌹🌹
Their sound reminded me so much of Guru’s Jazzmatazz, and I wasn’t aware of their connection to him. Glad that sound has been carried into the 2020ies.. It influenced my musical taste so incredibly.. will never forget seeing Guru’s show in Montreux at the Jazz Festival.
I was at that joint last night and it was honestly one of the best shows I’ve ever been too. I was floored when Dave and Chris opened the show but Robert and Revive really killed it. A lot of emotion and energy. A beautiful tribute
@@futurexsounds OK And this is recording of *Revive Big Band rehearsal at Berklee Power Station July 2022?* For future reference... Just found out about this lady today when Robert Glasper posted a tribute to her on Insta. Question: He posted a photo of her hugging him. It looked like she was crying? Can you give me background on that photo? Why was she so emotional? I read that she suffered from depression...
jere juf Baba @WeedieBraimah and #TheHandsoftime, generations of Africa and beyond speak thru your dynamic musikal mediumship. *and we're Dancing* Matondo!
Such an amazing performance, energy, arrangement, all this with plenty of smile everywhere (on stage and in the audience). I am watching a lot youtube to find this kind of live music moment and since something like 10 years I did not find a lot like this. Cory at this moment has been touch by the grace.
This is beyond!!!!!! Cory Henry, what a musician, both with regards to vocals and the keys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all do miss and long for these open air cultural events don't we?!
Rest in Power Von Xon! The humility of a creative giant like you considering yourself "on the come up". It's astounding how pure your heart was. Is. Rest in peace, my brother! We will carry your legacy.
