It's so disheartening to see and know that so many sea creatures are severely at risk of losing their lives because of us wicked humans. I thank THE MOST HIGH for caring Samaritans and doctors who work tirelessly and selflessly and, in some cases, risk their own lives to save the lives of all animals.
for every one turtle with a plastic straw in its nostril there are 10,000 sea turtles ensnared in discarded fishing gear and yet we outlaw plastic straws but NOT plastic fish gear??!!!
Yeah, it's not like the sea turtle just happened to inhale a straw.....kinda like the sea turtle that had a fork jammed in its nose. Don't think that was by accident either.
The phenomenon of a straw getting stuck in a turtle's nose can occur when a turtle encounters marine debris, such as plastic waste, in its natural habitat. Turtles are known to mistake plastic items, like straws, for food due to their similar appearance to some of their prey, such as jellyfish or seaweed. When a turtle ingests a straw or other plastic debris, it can become lodged in its nasal cavity rather than passing through the digestive system. Turtles have nasal passages that connect to their mouths, allowing them to breathe while their heads are submerged in water. These passages are relatively narrow, and a straw can easily get stuck in this sensitive area. The turtle's attempts to dislodge the foreign object can exacerbate the situation, as their movements and the sharp edges of the straw can cause injuries, leading to inflammation, infection, and other complications. In some cases, the presence of a foreign object like a straw in the nasal cavity can interfere with the turtle's breathing, making it difficult for them to surface and potentially leading to serious health issues or even death if not resolved.
Look I get that it's disturbing and also representative of a larger problem...but it could have just as easily been a stick. Or a fishbone. And the fact that these videos are distributed for their "entertainment value" to give people a reason to cry is just fucking weird.
Gullible people think that this is happened naturally. It’s obvious that sick politicians had someone shove a straw up the turtle’s nose to play on the emotions of sheeple so they would donate millions and launder that money. There’s no way on earth that the straw got up that turtle’s nose without human effort.
After the removal, they examined the straw, and it was slightly frayed, like as though it were eaten. The theory was that the turtle ate straw and, because of tge positioning between the turtles throat and its mouth, the straw got lodged into its nose. There's a scientific paper that went into the straw and how it affected the turtle
@@timetochronicle honestly seems like bullshit based on how nasal cavities work it would have to not be completely swallowed, stuck behind the turtles uvula and coughed up it's nasal which would need alot of pressure that would be hard for a turtle to do to the point it goes all the way to the fucking nostril, seems like a staged conservationist propaganda which would make sense seeing that it spread all over Facebook at the time
I have watched the sea turtle with a plastic straw stuck in it's nostril. I felt that sea turtle's pain and I felt the relief he must've felt after that last pull of the straw. I think you guys are awesome! All of these beautiful and worthy creatures who live on this planet with us and all of the ocean life, all of the wildlife work together making Earth such a symbiotic and ideal place to raise all kinds of different species in harmony with all living organisms and this beautiful planet. So, what happened to us humans?!?! I think 90% of humans either do not care or the thought that we share Earth with so many different living beings never crosses our one track mind. I am so thankful there are intelligent and kind hearted people who are dedicating their life work to saving this planet. Call them heroes or selfless in fact they are. But it's so much deeper than that. It's a kind of preter natural sense of understanding exactly what it takes to keep our planet healthy and working as it was designed. It takes this type of intelligence which contains that inner sense that we are responsible for taking care of our mother earth. Everything which contributes to keeping earths tenants healthy and balanced ultimately creates longevity for our planet.. We absolutely owe our lives to this planet and crews like these marine biologists fully understand what we must do to keep our planet alive and healthy and thriving. I have such a deep respect for the work you do. I will donate to your efforts as I believe everyone who is living and using this earth for their living space should without thought give back and keep our earth turning alive and healthy. God bless you everyone!
All that is a lie. All that is made up by environmentalists-communists who just want money from the government of the United Stated to get all away with their diabolical ideas. They are turning everything upside down. Now, McDonald’s is serving its soft drinks with paper straws, which leaves a very bad sensation in people’s mouths. There is no way a turtle can have that in its nose by swallowing it. First, the turtle would not even taste that because it is plastic. Try to give plastic to a domestic turtle and you all will see that the turtle will not even come to smell it.
....you all do realize, that we banned plastic straws in 2018 to reduce plastic pollution in general and that we find plastic embedded in animals for like 50 years already? this is a media-stunt against the complainers, who want to continue to use plastic straws and in all honesty a typical first-world-discussion. just RdJ in Brazil wont use it for touristic reasons and the rest is all western nations. you can still buy plastic straws in Costa Rica. WE as the human race, didnt changed and acted by different motives.
For monitoring diabetes, I use Freestyle Libre sensor with BluCon NightRider and able to get glucose values on my watch without the phone and without scanning the sensor.

This is in Japan, in Miki City which is just north of Kobe. It has a surface area of 300 square meters. There are larger tables but they only function in two dimensions; this is a full 3D system meaning it has a vertical axis as well as the two horizontal ones.
I do love such experiments on the built infrastructures. Are you planning for a project targeting an examination of the seismic endurance of the structures subjected to long-duration earthquakes? ; I mean checking the seismic performance of such structures exposed to long motion duration in the laboratory environment?
I know that they were doing something good, like yayyy, they got the straw out of the turtles nostril!! ... but what irritated me was why that person with the tool kept gripping one side of the straw? like grip the whole fuckin thing itll be easier, with a better grip
Paper straws suck. They get mushy so we carry our own. Ask yourself two questions. How are all these straws getting into the ocean in the first place? Unless they are being dumped into the ocean along with millions of pounds of other trash they would not have any impact. 1. Who is doing the illegal dumping? Is it anyone in America? If so they should be prosecuted hard. If it’s someone overseas then your paper straw law will have absolutely zero effect. 2. How did the straw get put into its nose like that? What are the odds of a creature with no hands floating around the ocean having that straw go directly into a nostril? It’s much more plausible that someone stuck it in its nose. I could put a million straws into a pool and tell you to get one stuck in your nose without you or someone else sticking it in there with your hands and you would have a very hard time doing that. I think someone stuck it in his nose cause they are jerks or they put it in there to push an agenda.
What do you use to attach the allegedly all “metal tags” you mention to the turtle? What about GPS attachments for tracking? Do you use them? Aren’t they attached with fiberglass glue, a form of plastic?
Is this fake news? How does a turtle or any other living thing inhale a drinking straw up there nose? Even humans sniffing cocaine through drinking straws couldn't do it

Type of videos like this one are important to communicate/educate information that could inspire more learning in a specific subject. This one relating to the world of taxes, transfer pricing, and many other areas would benefit individuals learn about areas that are not known to many.

If you find it helpful, please check the RU-vid box as if there's sufficient interest, we might think about doing more videoclips. There isn't a lot of material on international taxation and transfer pricing suitable for undergraduate students and the general public, and perhaps it might be helpful to do others similar to this one.
