I bought a basically complete and pristine Unitron monorail for 200$ the only thing wrong was the cable connecting the battery box and motor is old and the rubber tire broke

Yeah it was done on Legos version of Kickstarter. That said, the Lions Knight Castle available in stores is pretty good... if you can get over the price tag.
Yeah the cups you could easily reuse and get a little bit of money off. In the UK recently, the price went up yet again. It's been a 40% increase in the last couple of years. Bricklink generally works out better value
@@mattelder I built it this weekend. Stock size is 9 inches wide. I tried to add a yellow brick road to it after the fact and it didn’t come out so good. Need to try something else. I’d really love a nice “yellow brick road” incorporation but I’m not a good builder.
1x1 tiles or the base plates? The baseplates here are not lego and there is a link in the description to them. After this video was made, lego created the 16x16 technic plate for the then new Art mosaic line. I would probably use those today as a fair substitute.
Very good video! Thank you for your time and work here! Now we need a comparison of how the new boxes fit irregular, curved and large elements. On my 4-hour train ride yesterday, I spent over an hour re-packing my small PAB box (from the Hamburg LEGO Store) to see how compact I could get it. My buy included some wagon wheels and windshield pieces. I didn't have a small cup with me for comparison, so I'll try it later at home. The box needs a window and waterproofing, but it's ok. I'll miss the cups.
Very true! People very comfortable with LEGO. I suppose people would buy other brands if they had licences ie Star Trek, Robocop etc which people are attracted to.
I'm not convinced the grey button on the battery is a true on/off switch though that makes sense. Had one as a kid and we weren't religious about messing with that button at end of the day. Battery didn't seem to run out quick and we played a lot with it. Always thought it was more of like a reset switch. The neutral position on the motor lm pretty sure is your on/off switch. Found out how big of a deal this set is, and we have a great deal of the parts still. Pulled it out at mom and dads at Christmas and started putting it together with my nieces.They really got into it. Missing one straight track as the most critical piece.
I tried the method and the code I got was 6472894. It was the Fitness Instructor. Seems like it's European one, but doesn't quite match the number that's on the jaysblog thing.

So I meant to add that I got my nephew invited in the world of lego and of imagination and MAN WE HAVE HAD AN ADVENTURER TOGETHER LIKE U WOULD NOT BELIEVE LOL!!!! He just got his very first lego train it's the newer updated green black railway one it might be a year old I think but none the less he loves it we had all kinds of fun while bonding like we always do we get together with my imagination and his we have the funniest stories I've ever heard of we throw all kinds of humor in it I'm glad he got his lego he is so blessed now he can have that same feeling like u did after opening that box full of adventure and excitement lol he reminds me of me when I opened up my first box Legos for myself when I was young lol so I know the feeling my very first lego set was black Knights ghost man I still have my black knight and horse that all but hey have a blessed one again c u later and as always keep building to the stars 😂
