You have to combin hangetzu kata with sanchin kata it fit toghter hangetzu is more advanced but not in this form you have to use the brething from sanchin kata
Wonderful kata. After all the time I still can't find anyone who really explains the deeper meaning of hangetsu dachi. I know the stand in a way that the outside of the front leg is rotate to the front. So no kick can hit what's between the legs. But all of what I see in many many versions is that the feet are inner rotated and the middle between your legs has the same protection (or not protection) as in zenkutsu dachi. Can anyone explain the real meaning of hangetsu dachi?
The way I understand Shōtōkan stances is that they are more about developing your legs than actually being used as-is when you need them. I don’t think anyone does (or even should) fight as low as they practice their zenkutsu and kokutsu, but by practicing them that low it became easier to use that shift of weight when your are in a more comfortable higher kamae. I see Hangetsu-dachi as a way to practice that inward shift, that you’ll actually use IRL as something more similar to a Sanchin-dachi
@@julianroninbb Everybody knows who he is, since he's everywhere. But being well known doesn't mean he's for sure a good karateka. I don't see any kime here, and also technically it's a poor execution. But he's very famous anyway
