Wonderful video Ben, I was looking for a mlb model like this to incorporate into my sheets but not very skilled at using sheets like yourself. Can you send me the finished sheet. Thanks
Just want to thank you so much for the video. When I've clicked the sheet link for other people, it says #DIV/0! errors everywhere, is there something I can do to fix this?
Great Video . So if I type any data , numbers or letters outside of the cells that has nothing to do with the data you are using it changes the percentages on the game tab ? I have never seen this before . Is there a way to prevent what is happening ? Thanks
When you use rand() it generates new values every time you make a change to the sheet. You can look up Monte Carlo simulations if you want to learn more about rand()
Great Model ! Question, For next year all i have to do is change the 2023 and 2024 dates in the data tab correct? Also, where would i obtain the Player ID list? that was uploaded to the players tab? any other things you can think of would be great. Thanks !
When you expand the same size down to 10k do you need to expand the rest of the cells to the right or just expand the randomize cells and leave the calculations? If that makes sense
This is an extremely helpful video. Unfortunately, I'm getting an error message when I do the VLookup. it says "imported content is empty". I'm wondering how I can get around that. Would you also please send a finished copy? Thank you very much for this :)
whats up Ben- would love to learn how to build these but to be more productive, id rather hire someone like yourself to help me with some tasks. for a price of coarse. I have an existing model that I would like to make a few changes to; for example instead of Last 30 days data Id like to add a spot for last 15 and last 7 days. Very small changes and additions. How can I reach out to you about this? or would you even be interested?
@@watchmeprint the most likely is that the data hasn’t loaded yet. The first time you open it, it could take quite a while since you’re making so many requests at once. But if the data is there, it would likely be that the player has an average of zero. That happens most often with things like home runs.
Hello, I remade your model. This my be a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway. I was just wondering if it would be beneficial to account for the runs allowed, as well, instead of just the runs scored. In my head you could take these 2 projections and average them together to get an even closer projection of the predicted outcome. Please let me hear any feedback. All feedback is welcome. Thank you.
Got stuck data function =importhtml players/gl.fcgi... Got errors #N/A even on your spreadsheet got same error message. Not sure how to fix the problem
Found your first video on the mlb model. Dude you have some great content. I know you’ve only uploaded 5 videos but this is exactly the future of sports betting. Your videos are going to blow up!!
Love the content- can’t believe you’re actually emailing everyone that’s requesting a sheet. That sounds exhausting but thank you! I liked and subscribed can I please get a link to the sheet? Also, if I pay you for your time, can you look at my current MLB model and help me reverse engineer it to change a couple things. I’ll pay you for your time and you can obviously keep a copy of the model for yourself which I paid for. Can discuss in further detail if you reach out…or simple say no if you’re too busy to mess with it. Should be straightforward but I totally get it no hard feelings…
@@My_oh_face Appreciate it, man. Yea I can take a look. Email me at ben@bookiesmart.com and here’s the link to the sheet: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AwKopyWTOGIXKkRdP4XPKhE8ZXotsMkqp40gZ-u0oUA/copy
