Thank you so much . But you engine sounds great but doesn’t start . I just bought a bike today it started up kinda right away but when I stopped to get gas it rattled alot . I had to let it set before it started. The rattle sounded like it came from the transmission???
I just bought my first bike, a Rebel 250. It's been working and I had it checked out by a mechanic to make sire it was good. He adjusted the idle to give it less RPMs because the previous owner had set it too high and the mechanic said it wasn't as good for the bike that way. It took some getting used to but I'm fine with it. Anyway, watching videos it looks like I've been choking it backwards to start up. I start with the choke all the down and then move it up to start and then back down to ride, which looks backwards. Today I wanted to try it the way people do it in the videos so moved it down all the way and then moved it back to the top. As soon as I got onto the road it stalled even though I gave it plenty of throttle. Then it wouldn't start again. I trued every choke position, starting in neutral, even putting it on reserve tank just in case, everything I could think of. Any thoughts? I'm still new at this but it ran fine yesterday.
Thanks for the great video. Gojng for my M test soon! Is it true one should not shift gears while crossing an intersection? I have a 200 cc and in a big intersection the engine would be screaming in first gear!!
Just back from my M2 exit test on Walkley and passed with flying colours, thanks to this detailed video 🙏🏽 . Really helped me polish up on finer points they’d be looking for. Slight variation in route, we left the centre headed west on Walkley, left onto airport parkway, right on hunt club, right on Paul Anka, then left on McCarthy, right on Walkley, return to test centre…passed! Suggestions to me were, 1) look left-right -left…2) pump rear brake to indicate you’re slowing, and 3) merge faster on highway after indicating…all of which I thought I was doing, but he was not going to give me 100 % lol. Good luck to others taking the test….practice…practice…practice! And thanks again bro!
Why cruise at hwy speed in 3rd gear 10k rpm? Then pull in clutch on the off ramp instead of using a bit of engine braking combined with brakes? Is this how you normally ride or just doing this during the test?
I know this is a year old but do any of you guys see e-dirtbikes now on the trails? I just bought a Light Bee X to do some off-road. I've never been in Larose Forest. Hopefully I'll meet people who don't mind showing me the ropes around the area
Hi which is right and left i was confused. Saying left and right from what point of view? When you ride the bike or facing headlight? Which is left and right
Where is it possible get sketchup for this project? As a construction demonstrator, you are quite "tizls" (google translate refuses to translate it correctly). It is not clear how you treated the leaves so that they do not rot next year. There is no sector for training the diaphragm area. I don't understand what you used the useless tire for. In general, your variant can be used as a base and modified to become really useful.
I have to say this is not the way to do it use a puller method, which you can use with a deep sparkplug socket and the screw that comes with it, possible use a washer to if needed. But very easy to do.
This is too obvious tips if you cant figure them out by yourself u shouldn't touch your motorcycle at all... i got one tip that is not so obvious for everyone, if your motorcycle wont start, backfire through carbs, pops a lot, your pistons stop or even reverse when cranking. Your timing is bad because of bad wiring in ignition coils. Check your ignition coils wiring, you probably switched them accidently is what i did.
If you just get a bike, it’s all brand new to you, then you don’t know shit. don’t be an ass to people who are just getting into their hobby and bought used bikes. Everyone’s been there.
Do you need to leave enough car length when turning left or right in order for the examiner to be able to follow you? Or can you just turn when it’s safe? What if the examiner gets cut off and loses sight of you? Do you have to wait somewhere for them?
I couldn't help but notice your speed dropping when you engaged. Did it stabilise after a bit? It was hard to tell. Also, would the bottom kit fit? Atlas recommend top kit for the CB650R but I've done some measuring and it seems that the bottom kit would fit perfectly fine?
An update on this; I have successfully installed a bottom kit. It fits and clears perfectly fine :) Mine is newer which has the friction pads that slider over instead of being stuck on. Size 1 was perfect. It does make the starter button a little awkward to reach, though.
My father has a 2009 Honda rebel with about 250 miles on it he’s the original owner bought it and never got his MC license got pulled over by police while nine yards never used it and it’s been sitting in my garage ever since would it be best to just replace the carb?? Fuel tank is also rusted but bike and all looks brand spanking new I wash it every year around summer time and have preserved it for years. I’m just wondering what’s the best way to go because I took it to a bike shop they told me I needed a whole new gas tank and that it’s around $2k for a new one and it’s not worth fixing it that they’d take it off my hands for $500 I said no and took it home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey man, when you said checking if the fuel is on, it was pointing downwards, isnt that the reserve? I just got a Honda Rebel 1999 and I'm having difficulties figuring out how to make it run smoothly, as it has a shock/jump starter (i dont know how it's called, it's on the left handle, you were adjusting it after you started the bike in this video). Could you make a small video explaining how it works and how is the bike supposed to be used? Edit: it's called choke. Problem with mine is that the motorcycle will turn off after turning the choke off even if it was on for 2+ minutes. Any ideas what the cause could be?
NO TORQUE WRENCH tightening = BIG MISTAKE. Very dangerous if not enough torque, and if too much, you can break your motor cylinder head (2000€), or break the bolt's thread... Dont make such vidéos if you dont know anything about mechanic basics. a motorbike is not a toy. 🔥😉
Won’t start after taking carb on and off 14 times over two weeks while getting almost every part I can think of, without paying Honda prices. The meaning of aggravation
