They don' have to have a boundary. They can and frequently do overlap. For example you can start out working as an auditor and programmer and become a team lead. Let's say you become a team lead after working for 2 years and then work for another two years in that position. You will have 4 years of work experience and two years of leadership experience. You can also have work experience and leadership experience in a different area of your life like a community service activity, sports, a professional society, or the arts. In that case you may have work experience at work and you may not, but you will have leadership experience off the job. Work experience is something you get paid to do. Leadership implies that you motivated or managed others. To paraphrase Dwight Eisenhower, 'Leadership is the art of getting others to do what you want them to do because they want to do it."
My daughter wish to become of one of those doctors ,,she is very good in science a Lso she really wanna know how doctor a prepared to are injured person who have several scars
Thank you for the video. I am considering a career change from the electronic engineering field to medicine. Yes, back to university and eventually medical school.
Thank You so much for posting this informative information! please dont delete this! I am currently a Sophomore and really want a chance to advance my education at amazing school like Duke.
Decision day is tomorrow. Admitted or not, I must say it's been a great experience learning about Tuck. The admissions committee are just nice people and always willing to help. For some HBS or Wharton might be the best. For me, those schools comes after Tuck. It would be an honor to call myself a Tuckie.
Remember that for better or for worse, when you apply to a program your percentile attainment is being compared to others from your race and socioeconomic background. Doesn’t matter if you are applying to undergrad or to medical school, law school, etc. Your scores may be better or worse than you realize.
Oh that's actually pretty useful! Group discussions are always filled with multiple people trying to be captain of the ship. Glad to know that Wharton looks beyond this. Also, I love how expressive Blair is with her hands 😂
I am enthralled by the idea of a second-year MBA student mentoring a first-year group. There is so much to take in that precious first year that someone with more experience, both academically and perhaps professionally, can provide amazing insight and advice. On a not-so-related note, Fuqua ranks #15 by Bloomberg this year, but received a poor score for its (academic) learning component. Would any current students or graduates say that the classes were less rigorous than they could've been?
Mam does high school grades are also consider during MBA selection process at top business schools like Harvard, Wharton or colombia or they just consider undergrad GPA.

This is similar to what I’m thinking about doing. I need a job while getting my bachelors so I’m applying to the police department and it’ll take a bit longer but, I’ll be able to graduate debt free then go to medical school.
Hey when is the best time while preparing for the Gmat to get a tutor like Apex. Is it advantageous to use a tutor in the early stages of prep or more useful when approaching test day? Something in between? Loved the episode, thank you!
I love your channel Linda and I really enjoyed this weeks episode. I've been subscribed to your channel for a while and it helped me get into my dream grad school so thank you for posting great interviews. even though I am not a med student I still enjoyed listening to this interview. I definitely agree with Efrat on parenting and being in Grad school is not easy at all. I am in my 2nd semester in OT school and have 2 kids and would also say that without a good support system theres no way you can do it on your own. this interview gave me chizuk in my grad school journey. Thank you Efrat for the wonderful advice :)
Hi Musicgirl, Congratulations on your acceptance! I had my kids after I earned my masters. It would have been very difficult to do simultaneously. Thanks for your wonderful feedback and for being a loyal listener to Admissions Straight Talk. Best wishes for your future success in OT school and beyond.
Hi Ben how can I contact you. My email address is ashwinsstyle26@gmail.com. I will like to enroll your course but before that I would like to speak to you.🙏
Thank you very much, Director Matt Clemons. Looking forward to HKS for my Ph.D. in Political Economics and Government next Fall 2021. Hopefully, I can create a version of Harvard University in Nigeria someday.
