At the beginning of the video I thought you were talking about March 2003 when another terrorist organization invaded and destabilized the country, but I guess that's another story
"The ANOM service was widely used by criminals, but instead of providing secure communication, it was actually a trojan horse covertly distributed by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), enabling them to monitor all communications"
"Now, in a potentially related development, chat app Telegram has changed its privacy policy to reflect that it will share user's IP addresses and telephone numbers if they are suspected of committing a crime." They will turn on the information only to law enforcement under a subpoena, not merely at the whim of what they think someone is sending and saying. Telegram is end-to-end encrypted so it's impossible for anyone to see what you are typing. Get in the IP address we'll make it easier for law enforcement to get to the person or the device, what is no guarantee.
The reason the FBI listening in on these calls was not a violation of the 4th amendment is because the 4th amendment ONLY applies to the government. However, if I am a private person/company that happens to have access to TONS of data, there is no rule saying that I am not allowed to hand that data over the feds. Afgoo is the key here. HE is the one spying on these criminals, NOT the FBI. The FBI is simply reading data that is handed over to them. The Constitution does not apply.
The Kreml is also behaving like a ttoddler when it comes to Ukraine. They're progressing Economically way faster than Russia. The Kreml doesn't like it because that shows that democracy works way better for economic progress than what the Russian Regime does. So they try to destroy Ukraine before it gets too far ahead. Despicable
Jack I used to really dislike your voice the content was great but you were putting on this overly nerdy vibe that I can tell just isn’t who you really are. Obviously you’ve gotten better over time but it’s much better when you just use your natural voice and talk like you normally do. I seen a ton of people on reddit saying the same thing. Don’t take this as a hit piece I love your content. And I know you’re trying to reach a broad audience with various skill levels but for the love of god just be you bro.
they probably hack into your remote because my families tv cannot hear you unless your mouth is right beside the remote, so they probably look at connected devices an then continue to get into your remote
It is absolutely reasonable that the police *initially* thought what they did was correct, due to a lack of education in the subject. However it never should’ve gotten further than that and that is very sad. Who does (insert countries name) government think protects their systems? Of course people have to have hacking tools. Yes that raises red flags, and should be subject to investigation, but should be done by educated individuals who know what to look for.
Funniest thing is, when u consider that the "hollywooders" stole the movie camera from Edison & the TV from Farnsworth..they r the og pirates..& still r.

Of course, gen x is precisely that older generation that can be just such a teacher. Since we're typically cynical and jaded, however, you may actually have to ask one. The foundation of my advice was constructed the first time I logged onto the net. There is no such thing as private information not as a securable computer that is connected to the internet. Reality has since proven this foundation to be robust.

wow ! mind blown ! thank you Jack ! this is amazing content ! really well packaged. I am on about 17 episodes in and I cant stop listening as I drive all day. I just discovered you have podcast also... I will def. check it out. I am just in the initial stages of my cyber security and pentest career. thanks once again for the amazing content. I dont know if you have made one , but can you direct me or make a video blueprint of what one should learn to work in cyber security or ethical hacker. ? for example i started my journey learning the basics like windows OS. then gradually learning more. If you see a donation come from Canada it was me. All the best Jack !
It's a bit hypocritical that these hackers' morals only kicked in when they were told to spy on U.S. individuals. While they spied on other people they were all happy to comply. If they were working at the NSA I'm pretty sure there are other morally questionable stories they could recount.
