more than half the time he played with both hands, techniques differentiate from the norm, I like it but as a player I find more inspiration playing a lot less like that, I guess listening to power blues/ licks growing up still got me like that, love to try those techniques but , just different,,from the evhalen lickety splits licks all the time,,,per sé,, beautifully arranged
I’m seldom impressed with finger tapping guitarists. It’s just too showy and all over the place. What they’ve gained in skill and ability they’ve lost in musical melody and simplicity. It’s just too much.
I find myself returning to this live recording often, over the past 15 years since I first discovered it through a friend. I hope Antoine Dufour today is in good health and still creating what he loves. How amazing the fungibility of beautiful music like his that can speak to us in our particular moments ("moments") regardless of ever-changing context. Music like his is a constant soundtrack that grounds us in the things we love while we experience the constancy of change. This song, at this point, conjures scattered memories of every year that I've came back to this song. Through scatteredness comes a reminder that we are one and the same. Thanks, Antoine.
@@yup1579 i wrote this song after a concert of the awesome Richard Bona. There were different melodies that ‘hit me’ and for this reason i wrote this song like a tribute
