Great to see lived in masonettes behind the gunner left to go and live in England 1975 great place to live great people but go home as much as possible the transformation is unbelievable was up a couple of months ago visiting family who still live there time moves on but a lot of the same people still live there which speaks volumes for muirhouse never be the same as the old days good luck guys long live muirhouse 👍
My grandad used to live down in muirhouse. Was mental when I used to go down and visit him. One time when I was 9, I was walking with my dad round to those wee shops beside that tunnel area, and the street was literally filled with children launching fireworks at all the flats and houses 😅. Not a care in the world.
He wanted big mega fantasy payout , there always a couple that hold up redevelopment until they get a big check , as always they get dragged out in police van , wrecking crew come in and smash up the house and game over
I enjoyed your film as I remember Muirhouse as I used to live there and I got any house l wanted and you should be proud of yourself as I remember the days you won't get they days back and it was a great movie and watching your interview was so good to see as you are doing amazing things to help peoplexx

A testament to edinburgh city council!! In muirhouse if you're black/bame, they give you 5 star treatment. If you're born there, expect the bolshy, pinko dictators from the local labour party to give you hell on earth!!! They will house you in damp, vermin and bug infested pigeon lofts. Then, if you are thought subversive, they will harass you, move in nusance neighbours next to you and leave you to rot until you either leave of your own accord [thus making yourself homeless] or knock down your homes and sell the land to private housebuilders. The edinburgh Council housing department is criminal at best , full of leftwing activists and in muirhouse, NO LIVES MATTER!!! They should know though that WE ARE COMING FOR YOU!!!, YOU CRIMINAL SCUM!!! Day of recconing on its way...WE ARE GOING TO ROUTE YOU!!!!
I grew up in a wee village called Pumpherston. And i seriously have no idea what its like to live in Muirhoose as we called it or anywhere north. Later in life i had a boyfriend who lived in woodburn, wow that was bad enough. I am enjoying your work i have just discovered it. Keep it up doll xxx
No he's actually a ex junkie now who has done very well for himself indeed and now even help's others.... personally I'd say good luck to him and anyone else in his old position looking to get better and change their ways.
