We invite you to stay tuned for more videos discussing the BKR 9000 more in depth as well as to check: www.bktechnologies.com/bk-sales/#info To schedule some time to discuss our latest offerings and how they can be used to help fulfill your mission critical requirements.
No price listing contact sales for quote. No pricing for minimal accessories. No AA battery options. Uses their battery only. How many boxes of HTs do we have because batteries are no longer available.
Thanks for the comment! We welcome you to check: www.bktechnologies.com/bk-sales/#info To find the proper representative for a quote. Regarding the AA clamshell; this is a requirement for much of our customer base and is in active development, near production. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to expand our accessory portfolio for the BKR Series radios to satisfy the needs of all public safety personnel.
A "t-handle" design is a requirement for many contracts to "prevent the radio from slipping through the hand of personnel in operation" which would be why we see most public safety radios designed to address many areas of the market have this particular form factor. We believe BK and the BKR 9000 have quite a few unique benefits and invite you to check here: www.bktechnologies.com/bk-sales/#info To find your local representative and schedule some time to discuss how BK can help you fulfill your mission.
I feel the add is not actually talking about the radio. Just tossing out where it could be used. With loud music. What bands? Sure Drama up a radio drop on the ground to highlight the "hero armor" But pictures of ambulances and police cars and graphics of circuits and flashy things tells the customer very little. Thoughts?
Hi @SteelWolf13 we appreciate the feedback. We understand this highlight video is a little light on details, there will be further releases discussing specific capabilities in the future. Regarding bands, the BKR 9000 supports VHF, UHF1&2, and 7/800MHz public safety bands. If you'd like further information please check: www.bktechnologies.com/bk-sales/#info To get in touch with your local RSM.
@@joedoe3688 The BKR 9000 is actually quite cost competitive as a value in its category as a public safety grade p25 multi-band radio. We invite you to check www.bktechnologies.com/bk-sales/#info to setup a meeting with your local sales rep to discuss.
I been able to program over 100 channels on my BKR 5000 that are conventional type but on the RES software under adding trunking system, it wont let me add a trunking system.(Shows the option as grey) Any reason why?
Hi @Chrisbabina2185! No, you don't need a system key for a RX only system. If you add a system via RES without a system key loaded, it will automatically populate as a receive only system and allow you to enter the system ID and WACN of your choosing.
@@Aglowgibbon the radio is not affiliated and does not have a system ID in this case. As such it cannot receive system messages nor send traffic of any sort. It's only scanning for the talkgroups you designate if they are available on the site your radio is "listening" to. If you'd like further information, we invite you to contact our customer service department via our website, or by calling 1-800-422-6281.
Question for you.. Is there a way to easily change Tone Guards on the BKR5000... On the old DPH's we would just hit the tone guard number on the key pad and it changed. I have friends in MT-DNRC and we could figure out how to quickly change the tone guard to go between repeaters easily with the programing we had. Please advise or make a video on how this works. The owners manual is not very user friendly.
Very nice video, but I only seem to have Zone Select and Channel Select in my menu options, and there seems to be absolutely nothing programmed except for Zones 1-4, no channels in any of them.
according to both Windows 10 and 11 machines, when I attempt to install the RELM BK USB Controller driver, "the third-party INF does not contain digital signature information." This is curious since you specifically state that the driver is signed 05:46. Could the signature have expired since 2018? Same occurs if I manually select specific INF files, right-click install, such as KNG-P150_Radio_usb.inf
The package contains multiple drivers, to insure the proper drive is selected please follow the guide exactly and do not manually select the driver files, simply select the top level directory from the downloaded package and allow windows to determine which is suitable.
Hi Scott! Let's try a different approach. The video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-22h4T9Zac3w.html is a little more descriptive and uses a different method. If this is unsuccessful please contact your local Sales rep for support or call our customer care department at: 800-422-6281
Thanks for the info... my agency just got its first BKR5000 and I was trying to get it to connect to RES with no luck. got it working with your help. Now to do some programming! this will be my first experience with RES, had to teach myself RPM and CPS already, so I don't see it being too difficult to pick up especially since I wont be doing any P25 programming with it.
We're glad we could help! I know this response is a little delayed, but if you have any further questions please, don't hesitate to reach out to your local rep, we can even schedule a training session on RES with one of our Engineering Field Support personnel to assist. If you're unsure who your local rep is, I'm sure the dealer you worked with will have that information, or you can always use the contact information found on our website.
Hi Blake! Sorry for the delayed response, the radio seen in this video is presently available in VHF only. The BKR 9000 is available to order in all LMR public safety bands, and any configuration of multiple bands. Please feel free to contact us using the information here: www.bktechnologies.com/contact-us/ so that we can get you connected with your local representative to answer any questions you may have or even arrange a demonstration.
I'm using RES version 5.8.14 on a windows 10 computer. I hook up my KNG2 in both programming mode (it looks like it's off but the little blue LED light is flashing) and also with the radio on like normal and the red light on the res program never goes from red to Green.... To be able to program the radio.. what can I do? ALSO is there anyway to copy a old DPH file into this new RES system for the KNG2 without having to program everything in by hand. (Or get the very expensive cloning cable to go from dph to kng2 p150
The likely cause for not having the programming software indicate from red to green would be the drivers for the radio. For assistance installing drivers or any other radio issues, please call our care team at 1-800-422-6281 or email at care@bktechnologies.com
