I pass Harland Cottages frequently and they have always intrigued me and fascinated me and I have often wondered what they look like inside my curiosity has now been satisfied going to be passing them today
Fantastic: I used to live on the top floor of number 8 Mingarry St , 1962- 1982 until I got married and remember Mr and Mrs McMillan who lived in your ground floor flat. We used to play in the old wash houses in the basement which was at back garden level, obviously now converted to living space. We even had a proper sand pit just off the path. The names of the children who lived in the close was written with out fingers into the wet mortar fillet around the sand pit. My parents moved away circa 1992. Brought back happy memories.
