I’d started applying a lot of transient management within the mix just because I felt it made sense. Even though I run into CPU issues and feel like I’m breaking all sorts of mixing “rules”. Very comforting to know it’s a thing.
Can't believe I binged the whole thing. Happy to have this resource. Thank you *very* much. Your EQ course was similarly life changing. Now off to reverb. <3
teaching myself music prod for some years and while i understand what a compressor does the actual sensible places to use compression elude me sometimes. actually going to watch this
Axford inflator is saturator with sinoid fold . Turned down -59db. plugin thats Been glorified. The reason it sounds lauder is because it adds upper harmonics, but it doesnt add volume.
Okay...the thumbnail got me curious as we've been told at uni for three years to ensure we turn auto gain off yet this vid is saying to stop doing it. I pray it isn't clickbait.
WOW!!!WTF!!! Its took u just under 10 hours to explain EQ and how to EQ!!!??.It could easily have been done in 1or2 MAX!!!. But anyways!! someones bored with there life!!!!.
what about high end orchestral midi instruments? do they still have these rogue frequences/resonances? or they are treated before being released? also how you can do step 4 of the chef method when you have 100+ orchestral tracks in your mix and they fight for frequency spots?
One thing I'd like to mention from using real vocoders over the years is you don't sing into a vocoder. You enunciate to words as clear as possible and the vocoder does the rest. Sing you sing, it less intelligibility .
I had some bass traps installed from RealTraps in CT. I love them..they are pro-grade high quality bass trap panels. The instruments and vocals are so much more focused and clean. The folks at RealTraps were really great & so helpful.
Please give me a tip how on earth I can load plugins faster in Logic Pro…and why Logic needs to reload every plugin in the chain when I put a new one on it? It is so annoying… M1,M2,M3 all the same… Grrrrrr
