The Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU) uses history, international relations, economics, and theology to forge understanding and build trusting, respectful relationships between Muslim and Christian people, societies, and cultures. The Center and its faculty have long-developed, established reputations in building bridges of understanding among political and religious leaders, academics, students, and members of the media.
The Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding was founded in 1993 by an agreement between the Fondation pour L'Entente entre Chretiens et Musulmans, Geneva and Georgetown University to build stronger bridges of understanding between the Muslim world and the West as well as between Islam and Christianity. The Center's mission is to improve relations between the Muslim world and the West and enhance understanding of Muslims in the West.

Wow, this was a fascinating topic. It definitely gives some context to the one West African scholar who was enslaved and forced into Christianity in America. His writings in Arabic show that he was educated and that he retained his Islam despite not being able to openly admit that.
Interesting lecture but I wonder how the professor would square his idea that the prophet Muhammad went around the near east, had contact with other cultures and religions and that he knew other languages with the fact that the Quran and hadith for that matter are all in Arabic and in a very hijazi style.

That’s like you wanting to become a doctor and you learning medicine from a person who doubts if medicines work. Yasir Qadhi is not a scholar, greater learned Muslim men exist than him, he is a student of knowledge at best with many mistakes. He changed his stance “after” he attended Yale, seem odd? He doesn’t come with anything new, he’s not some underdog challenging an unchallenged norm. The stance he takes has been refuted in the past before by bigger men than him, I.e. Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. May Allah guide as all!

If modi/bjp/rss/hindutva mean business about the statements they're issuing in their half-hearted written statements, why doesn't modi himself and personally come out in the open and clearly state his position on the Muslim minority and Islam in India? modi is on regular seen/viewed on various local news/TV channels almost daily = not once, has he unequivocally stated his support and position in favor of the Muslim minority in India? Obviously, modi remains a wolf camouflaged in sheep skin, and this is why Muslim houses are openly being demolished in India, especially in bjp/rss/hindutva ruled states with absolutely no justice dispensed at all and this is unfortunately similar to what the Israelis do in Palestine. Has India stooped and adopted the low level of Israeli tactics? Everyone complains about the Muslim demonstrations etc India. In general sense those who covered up the truth of Islam, not Islam that is started with Muhammad (pbuh), but Islam as the original one religion that was revealed to the Prophets and Jews and Christians covered it up with theology that they made up over a period of time.
