You definitely need a better tune. For 13-15psi that sounds really slow. I ran a TVS2300 with 12-13lbs and it’s wayyy different. Before the new tune, I would suggest getting better intake setup just like the other comment mention. If you can source some VP M1 local to you, I would switch to that from water meth. I don’t think you are running E… at 15psi and AFR at 11:1… I think that’s pass the limits of Lt4 injectors. Soooo if you’re just running gasoline, straight M1 is the way to go. The trans tune also needs work.
103 mm throttle body & custom 4” or even 5” intake will get you like +100hp for just bolt ons on the same pulley I’m running 3.5 pulley w cam & fuel system, no meth stock internals
@ShadowRaptorGaming I don't think he wants to go that far. It does have a larger than stock throttle body now but I can't remember what size it is. The truck is just a fun daily driver. He does have a 3.5" pulley in his garage though
@@turbojeremy13tb looks stock, throttle body and intake upgrade is basically free power it’ll flow more efficiently for whatever pulley he chooses to run Mine is street truck as well not too crazy What’s w the smooth boost I’ve never heard of it
@ShadowRaptorGaming now you make we wonder. I'll have to ask him what tb he went with. I know he told me but I can't remember now. The smooth boost wasn't working when this video was filmed. The new smooth boost is ready to go in so we will probably put the smaller pulley back on.
@@turbojeremy13 I would suggest a custom tune as well, that will really get his money’s worth for buying the whipple, he’ll have way more fun with it and still be able to daily drive it that’s the thing with superchargers they have good drivability boost only comes in around +3k rpm to WOT
@sergiocamarena1681 I honestly don't know what he spent total on all the parts but I wanna say he paid around $8k for the supercharger, meth kit and smooth boost controller
Hi, Just checking in to see how it's going. Appreciate your channel, and your videos! Any oil leaks? Turbo seal issues? I purchased a kit and will be doing install in a few months. Where should the exhaust fitting go? Deleted, but still using small muffler, so......after the muffler? Instructions say to weld exhaust bung, yet it is threaded. I don't have welder, anyone just bolt the bung in the hole and run with it that way? TIA
@scobo5743 it has still never leaked a single drop of oil from anywhere on the stock. If the muffler is straight through, you can put the bung in front of it. If it's chambered, it has to go after. The bung has to be welded in and the fitting gets threaded into that.
Any idea on when SPD will be selling the 3.5 style downpipes for the equal length exhaust? Saw they just released the 21+ kit but it goes to a single outlet
@Ellacost831 these pipes were made for a newer year truck so if you are doing a retrofit like I did, you will need to drill the pipe and put a fitting there. If you get the pipes that are meant for a 15/16 (which weren't available at the time I did this install), you would not need to drill into the pipe because the fitting will already be there.
Did you have any difference in performance when installing the nozzle behind the throttle body? A while ago I installed mine on a throttle body spacer (behind the TB) and I got very uneven readings on the short term fuel trim's (like 9% difference between bank 1 and bank 2 at WOT) AFAIK fuel trims should be very close with each other. so I decided to install the nozzle 9" in front of the throttle body, but 2 throttle bodies have failed since then. My truck is a 2016 f-150 3.5 ecoboost
Hmm that's odd. I never saw any difference from in front of the tb to behind. Are you running the meth on a progressive ramp or just having it turn on at a certain boost pressure?
@@turbojeremy13 I have the AEM W/M progressive kit. I think that this difference in the fuel trim readings may be due to the fact that the nozzle is very close to the intake manifold, also, in the 1st generation ecoboost 3.5, the intake manifold has a slight "curvature" at the inlet... I think that This could cause more mixture to reach some cylinders and not be distributed evenly. But I can't say for sure, I'm just guessing.

Hi Jeremy. I know this is an older video, but just wanted to let you know that I built this and it works great! So, thank you. I made one change in that I used a different PWM module that has an LCD display that shows both Freq and Duty Cycle at the same time. Also noted that hitting the bump button by itself also activates the trans brake. A simple additional small relay will fix that. Thanks again Ron
@saulgoodman9193 I sold it to carvana because I needed a diesel. A few months after i sold it, by total chance, I was on a fb truck page and a guy posted a picture of nothing but a 50mm bov on his truck he just bought and wanted to know if it was stock. I immediately recognized my handy work and asked him if his truck was a silver crew cab. Lomg story short, he had my truck. We have kept in touch randomly over the last couple years. He lives in so. Cal. And loves the truck. Last time he messaged me on fb messager, he was locked out of the truck and wanted to know of I still remembered the door code. I did remember and gave it to him and he messaged me later thanking me profusely for helping him get back in his truck. This was about 6 months ago.
@turbojeremy13 Oh wow , well that's good to hear , I was worried it blew up or something 😅 last thing I saw you do to it was the meth injection and then I didn't see any other post of the truck afterwards. Made me worried because I have a 2016 with similar mods , besides the meth injection. I'm surprised you knew the door code . I have no idea what mine is . Anyway, I'm glad to hear the truck is still on the road .
@saulgoodman9193 as of a fee months ago the truck was running great. I did take the meth off, as well as the tune and Cai before I sold it. Also took the camper shell off and sold that separately. I'm now running a different meth kit on my diesel. Stuff works great
