Wow, I have a 16 and don’t have any of those issues whatsoever. Do you keep your car outside in the sun? Do you use any sort of sun protection like a sun visor? Looking at your windows, they’re also not tinted. My car is covered, tinted, and has a sun visor. Zero issues that you or your friend has
I purchased a new 2016 XT2 LX42 KH (22hp) in May 2017 which is similar to CC in video, mow 2-acres. Currently has 325-hours (8th season) and has original spindles, battery, and non-ripped seat (don't use battery tender in winter). Warranty should have fixed headlight problem that started at 6-months. Manual lists maintenance items. I wouldn’t slam a plastic cracked hood myself 12:40 .
I had a 2016 challenger scatpack and replaced the radio with the 2018 radio..the screen started "ghosting" so i replace the entire screen digitizer and it worked again with no hiccups..simple fix..i just sold my super clean 2016 white scat challenger, red interior with 41k miles to Carvana this past Sunday...im car shopping as we speak..(2023 BMW 550 m sport, 2023 e class mercedes amg coupe, 2021 hellcat wide body, 2021 LC500 lexus, etc.) The car game is boring..nothing is really catching my eye or standing out on the market nowadays..
They'll do another display unit. This was a common issue between vendors from 2015 and up. Some batches didn't, a lot did. Make sure it's been flashed for up to date, there are a lot of body controller tie ins with the system. They may ask you to do so on the Uconnect page with thumb drive. I would have them make sure though, there has been some problems with that out there.
The problem is that it is Fiat/Stellantis JUNK If i want a Challenger I will buy a REAL Chrysler Corporation one made from 1970-75, not this scrap metal.
@@user-mi5ud8sp9n Car audio components often havent been made by the manufacturer since the 1970s, they started outsourcing them according to a friend who sold and installed aftermarket audio. Ford sold their Philco appliance and audio division in 1973 and outsourced after that. A Fiat subsidiary made many Ford radios and tape players in the late 1970s-mid 80s. That doesnt change the fact that everything Stellantis makes has major quality issues and isnt worth owning when a vintage Mopar musclecar can be had for the same money or less in many cases.without the failure prone electronic foo-foo.
Water pumps are easy to do, (you're probably due a timing belt anyway) heater core on the other hand....that's a chore. Dude, clear coat is NBD. I've had 2 mk4 Jettas with the 2.Slow engine, best car VW ever made IMO. These cars have soft suspension bushings, nice ride but they wear out every 200k. (bushing press out in place kit is a necessity) The HP lines on the steering rack also rust out which will cost big time. The aftermarket is finally doing those lines as VW never had the part, just the whole rack. I had ZERO electrical problems, except the drivers door latch which I see you are having trouble with. You have to buy the latch new, as the wrecker pulls are all junk too. Good luck!
I'd say just sell it for a couple grand lol. Just bought an 07 jetta and having nothing but problems with it. 122k original transmission but a motor swap of same mileage. Belt seals are bad. So water got into the vehicle. Accessory pump failed, so oil leaked everywhere. Runs great but passenger lights don't work due to faulty BCM. VW is a headache that tylenol can't fix.
Best to put a relay in and run the lights through the relay. Bad light switch is a common problem with dodge, switch isn't heavy enough to carry the load.
I got mine a few weeks ago. So far, so good. I use premium lead free or "Super" (actually contains about 1.5% ethanol, which is not an issue), but here in Australia, we mow all year round. It has the Powermore Cub Cadet engine, but also a 6 year warranty. Cost me AUD $5200, which is a great price down under. And the design STILL hasn't changed, which suggests they got it right and are sticking with it. Just check the connectors all the way back to the battery to fix those lights. Most likely just debris in a connector.
I have my '16 GT with 108k miles no major issues. In terms of mechanical issues I've only had to deal with a tensioner leaking but was replaced under warranty in 2017. Since then no issues just regular maintenance, brakes and batteries.
This was fairly easy to complete. I chose to use the existing connectors on the rods, since they were already in place and in good shape. The new door handles works great!
The problem with the headlights is probably the white connector. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and twist is between the female pin and the plastic body to squeeze the round pin down smaller. This will make a better connection.
Mine I bought it 3 weeks ago . I get little confused playing with it but why a 2024 make and doesn’t have an lcd display , so I have to gustimate how many hours I run this plastic machine in order to change oil. All in all I like it I take my time mowing an acre in my back yard every other week . I found 3.5 is the best to mow . Very comfortable with it . Bought it from home depot for $2299 . The double bagger and the discharger from tractor supply for $429 a $150 cheaper than home depot. It’s ok for a residential but not for commercial use. Nice video very informative same thing I thought about it get stuck twice 😂😂😂😂😂.
Have had the same exact machine for four years. Had to replace the starter this cutting season...not cheap. Also mine tends to stall out in reverse if the PTO and sometimes even the cutting depth are engaged.
Anyone hear which is better between the lt42 or lt42b? I know the 42b is a Briggs engine and the 42 is a “cub cadet” engine but not sure who the manufacturer is and any other differences
xt42 has a chinese made engine. i dont recall the exact name but something like power ??? . it has good reviews. a small engine with a lot of power and very dependable according to my research. approximately 15hp. it works for me and my city lot. the b +s engine is my first choice since my child hood , but for my circumstances , the xt42 is fine
As a follow up, with about 1 hour on it and an oil leak. More of a nuisance than anything else. Only when running and a drip, drip, drip. By two hours I found it leaking underneath, but engine removal would be needed. Dealer took it in and fixed it (of course under warranty) and it was a cracked sump. I now have it back a look forward to many years.
