Betts Sporting Goods has been serving anglers in the Tampa Bay area since 1948. In 1992, Mako's Tackle Supply, Inc. purchased the business, which was located on Bay Pines Blvd. and changed the name to Betts Fishing Center. We relocated in 1998 to a small retail space on Starkey Rd, intending to concentrate on rod and reel repair and custom rods. Since 1998, Betts has continued to expand, finally ending up in our own, 6000 SF building on the corner of Starkey Rd and 126th Ave.
