not hating on this, but i don't see the point in having these? especially for how much they cost. you could get an all in one midi controller for the same price that does more.
if anyone can help me as where i can get a firmware update/upgrade and whats involved in doing it,i dont really wanna pay over the odds asif i get it repaired with a pioneer approved repairer it would be more expensive than buying a 2006 model used cmx3000.
so i emailed pioneer and asked if i can buy a firmware cd or can i have a link to download the upgrade. They told me it wasnt as simple as just upgrading the firmware, that i have to send it to a pioneer approved repair shop. They also said that the lasers may be damaged so need replacing also.mmmm.Im gonna either get 2 lasers off ebay for £31.66 delivered and change them myself and get a firmware update or sell them and buy a 2006 or later model.
It took around 10 to 15 seconds for it to eject the cd.It also stopped playing the cd around 25 secs or so during the song!!! I have since found out that pioneer were aware of this problem at the time.On the internet forums ive found lots of fellow djs who have had this problem. The solutions are to either only use original cds or try to use better branded name cdr's and burn them at the slowest speed.I found out that in 2006 pioneer upgraded the firmware and the 2006 models onwards r error free
i had a 2006 model one of these and it was the best 19" twin cd player i had used.I after a few years sod it i then bought a pair of cdj1000s which are on a different level total to these way better, but saying that i picked up a pioneer cmx3000 and djm3000 all flightcased off ebay the other week as a back up system. The cmx3000 is a 2001 model. The cmx3000 is a 2001 model.I was using it last weekend and to my horror 3 times during the night it either came up error on the display.
