Staples, office depot, maybe walmart. The plastic lable tape/ribbon comes in many colors. It's a manual, no batteries needed. The other versions use a tape that it prints on, needs power from batteries or a wall adapter

The size (numbers) of the dowels isn’t relevant. I’m only explaining a process I take when I’m designing a pattern and how I keep a reference. That’s it. In the actual tutorial I mention you can use any another tool from chop sticks, skewers, pens, sharpie, anything you have.
As a child, I remember getting cards of pictures with holes around them, simple shapes, but child was supposed to”sew “ around them.. easy and cute. 😊this for adults.
