Okay so after some reports and testing I probably should've done this in a save with Wyll alive but here is a workaround if Ravengard runs/Wyll goes hostile If you have Wyll alive and Ravengard runs away when you attack him and Wyll goes aggressive, to work around this you need to follow the video and add 1 final step which is: once you get Ravengard in the stables, you have to go to turn based mode and then: A: One shot him to knock him out or B: Cast hold monster on him and then knock him out ( hold person wont work as he is an ally) As long as you do A or B you should get the same outcome as in the video
Okay yeah so if Wyll is alive, Ravengard if you dont 1shot knock him out runs away and Wyll becomes hostile, so the fix for it is follow the same steps as in video but once when in the stables you need to either knock him out in 1 shot or if he is full hp you need to cast hold monster (hold person wont work as he is an ally) and then knock him out and from my testing Wyll didn't agro and everyone else behaved as usuall
Pretty solid build overall, though out of some potential curiosity, Have you considered taking a shot at mimicing the Sharran Sentinels in that little hiding area? there is some build potential there.
I did and from my understanding those 3 are just pure wizard, paladin and cleric builds if im not mistaken. But if you are curios I do have 4 builds themed around dark justiciars on my channel
How did you get his health so low initially, I tried this and he just runs off and alerts everybody once I hit him Edit: eventually was able to do the first part of this process with a combination of Tasha’s Hideous Laughter and Command: Drop. Only gets you the sword, but that’s all I wanted. Thanks a bunch, this really helped!!
His HP was this low from the prison break I havent healed him while rescuing him He runs away after attacking him ? I might look into this, I havent had it happen to me Hold monster spell can be used here aswell, it works on allies while hold person doesnt
Here is an updated and much more convenient and easier guide on how to get Duke Ravengard's armor and sword ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GBju81_iewA.html
if you start your final respec with Fighter for your first level, you get proficiency in Con saves. That, plus the advantage from warcaster/amulet will make your concentration saves even higher. the only difference aside from saving throws, is that youd have intimidation available instead of persuasion, which can be offset if you accept the astral tadpole right before act 3 and get expertise in persuasion from illithid powers.
Under the same vein. If you’re going to make her an ally to dimension door her, why not cast feign death on her and pickpocket her? Instead of knocking her unconscious
@@euromanijak The magic user cannot, but anyone else can, use fog or darkness and that's it, no one will see and you won't be negative, you can steal all the NPCs like this, give it a try lol
@@ewertonbarrosfernandes4923 Like he mentioned, that method doesn't let you steal items that count as equipped. You can't pickpocket the armor she's wearing. You have to kill or knock her out for it to appear in her inventory at all. This goes for all equipped items except for weapons, since you can just Command: Drop those.
The dwarf lady in the underdark if you give her the noblestalk in act 1 then in act3 she sells loads of potions and crafting ingredients + additional noblestalks, and you can stock up easily when you level up because trader stock resets every level up (you can respec to do this aswell)
@@euromanijak i think you're my new God, i just started a new run and im gonna do this for sure since at the last part of my first run i ran out of potion at the very end, so thank you so much!
I might be wrong here but doesn't that make the character in question go to "sleep" like state and you have to pick pocket them instead of "looting" them and pickpocketing doesn't work on items that are equipped on the character only the ones in the inventory (I haven't messed about to much with feign death so im not too sure about this)
I’m playing a wizard who is trained to become a Selǔne’s assassin against any Shar worshippers (he even has the acolyte background). But hurting Isobel for the robes wouldn’t help him earn her blessing so he’ll just take the ones who gives him armor lol
@@euromanijak In the end, I’m going to have the Elegant Studded Armor you can get in Act 3. Bonus to initiate rolls, AC of 14 (Mage Armor only goes up to 13 plus I’m not going to have gear that boosts AC on him) and have a handy short rest Shield spell (plus the same spell he has always on him). And I can always dye it to match with the robes
@@onyc3018 Well for the gold I'm using a mod, as i like to get all of the magical items to test for builds, but also I have an guide upcoming with how to have loads of money as there is a trick for it but I want to see if the next major patch will fix it, probably wont as it isn't technically a "bug" Ill just say it involves bags/sacks. Will fully test it in my next build test run. As for the build it will be in full detail in one of the upcoming build guides but it is a Fighter 5, warlock 3, rogue 4 multiclass
@@euromanijak it works, I've used the bag trick to get gold and all kinds of items since the end of my first playthrough. Doing a coop run atm and we're using the trick. Don't know if it gets patched, probably unlikely since it's been there for a long time.
Early game, hire Brinna Brightsong, respec her rogue with sleight of hand expertise, gear up with smuggler's ring, shapeshifter's boon, and gloves of power (switch to Gloves of Thievery later). Be sure to Disguise Self (Arcane Trickster, lvl 3, or the helmet if you bought deluxe) and pickpocket every merchant multiple times. Run away if caught, change disguise and repeat. Respec and pickpocket once for every level of every playable camp member. Easy 50k gold. 100k if you work at it. Sky is the limit. At level 11, Reliable Talent makes it impossible to fail pickpocketing with a halfling.
I have to ask a little out of curiosity, How did you get the gold plated look going? I've been trying to get a good shiny look going for a while with the tabbards being a black colour but i can't seem to find the right dye for it. Build overall is quite fun though.
I use mods there are 2 dyes mods that I use 1. Basket full of equipment. This does give you bunch of clothing but I pretty much just use the dyes that come with it 2. Extra Dyes for the Fashionable Folk of Faerun is the 2nd mod this is just a pure dyes mod
I’ve got a few questions for you: 1. Can more than 1 party member can get an ability increase or all of them? 2. If you pass the prayer check is it guaranteed that you can get the ability increase or is there an hidden roll? 3. Isn’t Shadowheart able to if she becomes a dark justiciar by killing the night song and her parents? 4. If you don’t pass the prayer check are all the party members lock out of the buff or just the one that didn’t pass the check?
1. All of your party members can get the ability increase, except Shadowheart if you chose to spare Nightsong 2. If you pass the prayer it is guaranteed you get ability increase but there is something funky going on that sometimes (from my testing if you stand in front of the mirror for to long but i could be wrong here and something else is effecting it) you get a random ability score from a certain event that has happened in the game 3. Shadowheart can get a +2 from the mirror if she becomes a dark justiciar, she doesn't even need to pass a religion check if i remember right nor does she need to give the mirror 2 of ability scores, she just gets a chosen +2, if you spare the night song she can't get anything from the mirror 4. I believe only the character is locked out from the mirror that fails the roll, since the mirror does require every single character to roll for it even if lets say 1 out of 4 characters succeeded the check
@@DaughterofCorvo Yeah apparently either its intended or a bug but ghouls stay, but if im not mistaken you lose the 20 temp hit points you got from the Codex
Thnx man. I was already leaning towards using this method cuz I have the necessary items, but I was also thinking of respeccing (which is just a hassle to be honest). I'm on honour mode though, so I sure hope I get a bit lucky. Luckily I have Shadowheart with me who has 3 levels of Bard and has Improved Bardic Inspiration (where as u might know can give you +12 in best case), so I guess I should be okay. 🙂
Fingers crossed you get it on the first try on your honour run, Oh right I forgot to mention bardic inspiration, I believe probably because my character was a bard and you cant inspire yourself xD
@@euromanijak Well I passed the religion check. Unfortunately, I only got +2 for my main character. And +1 to charisma for 2 of my other party members. I needed +2 on dex for Astarion and +2 on intelligence on Gale, they only got +1 to charisma. Oh well, it is what is is. Funny thing though, the reason I past the DC check is I failed the first time by 1 point, used 1 point of inspiration (cuz that's all I had) and got a nat 20 on that check 😋
Thanks! Will have to try that second version then. Apparently, before you could have just gotten him to chuck the weapon and armor during the rescue mission but they changed it so he doesn't have it on during it. I also didn't realize you could have just kept stacking explosive barrels and use those against bosses. Lol
Yeah the first strat is more for if you dont care about breaking quests and want to get his stuff early. But yeah Larian seems really keen on not letting us get his items easily while also keeping him alive. Oh yeah its the infamous barrelmancy very useful in some situations
