I use it and it works great...have never had an issue. Easy and fast, no mixing makes it fantastic. You always have to seal grout!! Also, you don't spread it all over the tile, just in the grout lines. No issues at all.
Thanks! I bought this crap and tried a 3 inch area behind my stove and couldn’t even clean the surrounding tile, I then checked online and saw this video, I threw it right in the garbage. I’ve lost more money at the casino, thanks for saving me the trouble
This grout is dangerous, I spoke with the mapei tech rep today and he said they are going to introduce a chemical cleaning agent soon. This grout is absolutely dangerous. Even porcelain glossy tile is won't scrub off. I understand it's acrylic but you are right it is not a good choice and a real gamble to use. It can totally have you ripping tiles out

this grout is crap, how they made staff like this, people give stars on this is people making 50sf tile. any installer with 2000 sf or more, like me will hate the guy invented this shit. ..
I used this for a backslash install. The install was fine and the color consistency was great but cleaning was painful. I applied and cleaned in small areas every 2-3 minutes but the hazing was bad. Took me an extra 1-2 days just cleaning the haze left off the tiles and some countertop areas. Also, I think those sticky quartz beads in the grout scratched my glazed ceramic tiles - luckily its not easily noticeable. Will be trying Spectralite next

This is an incomplete video. You forgot to. Shut off inflow valve and Siri not address getting all the water out of the tank before addressing. Pressure should be 5-7 psi. Everywhere but your video

Do you have to set your cold water valve to close before pumping it? I set the water valve to close then I pump and no water coming out. Psi in the tank is 7psi….not sure what else i need to do
Close the water valve to pump it, then open the water valve for water to come out. If you keep pumping and get the pressure up to 10 psi or so and no water comes out, the bladder may be broken. When you push on the valve stem to let air come out, does water come out?
@@rogerbeecroftchannel4972 i stopped pumping at 7psi and no water coming out. Is the bladder easy to break? I have used it for 6 months then after I replaced the first filter then it happened. Do you think problem might come from the filter slot?
You clearly didn’t do something right. That’s one of the best grouts on the market. Been a professional installer for 25 years, and love it. Very easy to work with, extremely stain resistant, and actually very flexible.

It’s not a sanded grout first of all. Secondly it’s one of the most non porous grouts on the market. Maybe become a pro and know what you are talking about before making comments
@@rogerbeecroftchannel4972 , this is not a "sanded" grout. What you say is sand is colored quartz that give this product it's color instead of pigment. Like others have said, I'm a do many bathroom renovations and use this exclusively. Even in my laundry room, high traffic area, dog piss/poop, and even had a washing machine dump it's gear oil all over the floor. Scrubbed and cleaned it up like it was new. Not sure if you got a bad batch, but this is not the norm for this product at all. Bummer you had this experience.
The rebar makes it harder, not that this is the correct way. I'm dealing with this and cut the pole with an angle grinder, but I still have a column of concrete with rebar to deal with. 😢
So this isn’t a sanded or non-sanded grout. If you research it the composition is actually quartz beads suspended in an acrylic binder. No sand, no cement, no dyes/colourants. The beads themselves provide the colour. I used TEC power grout to do my master bathroom and that is a terrible terrible product. Not only does it stain it actually wipes out of the joint with a finger tip.
My contractor has been using this for years. He is highly rated and swears by this product. He exclusively uses Mapei products. He was not an Ardex fan. My installation is beautiful.

1. replace gasket first !!!!!! pool chems will eat the gasket after a few years ...... especially wjere its hot always replace the gasket 2. the wire inside the conduit is more likely to be in perfect condition if the fixture was damage from the water leak just change the fixture ....... 3. a light bulb is a light bulb do not pay 300 dollars for a light or the fixture YOU CAN EVEN USE A SMART LIGHT BULB if you want to not spend 30 - 70 bucks is what they cost now . You learned alot during your project always use a voltimeter to check the connections its too easy vs assuming the wiring is labled properly

Warning ⚠️ I bought this grout and used it yesterday for a bathroom wall and it was the worst experience in my life. I’m not a professional but I did at least 3 other jobs in the past years and never had 5% of the pain I had with this one. Not sticky, it falls of the wall, it hardens in 5 minutes, terribly hard to take off the residue, hard to make a smooth finish. I had to use a second metal spatula to prevent the grout from falling off my Rubberized applicator I was using and I realized later that I had scratched all my tiles. I checked my wall today and I noticed that somme places I have thick haze on my white ceramic to scrape off. Tough job in perspective. Don’t buy the that product if you’re not use to that kind of job. Leave it for professionals. It was the one and only time for me.
You are scraping something very SOFT. The grout is normally very HARD. It's my bet your grout is covered with MOLD and that's what is discoloring the top of your grout and what you are scraping off.
