Wait, you start your cold brew with hot water? Like... sort of treat it like a pour-over, but then leave it overnight? I've never tried hot water in cold brew - what kind of difference does it make?
It can be done both ways! I will link an article for you but When I worked as a barista we did a hot bloom first as a lot of our coffees we roasted were light, medium roast and Kenyan, Ethiopian etc. (Tasting profiles that shines with citrusy and raspberry notes) and hot blooming can help bring out some of those notes more prominently in your cold brew if you want more of those! If you like more mild notes though it doesn't really make your cold brew stronger or anything it just is a way you can manipulate flavor profiles to some degree 😊🤘
www.bruer.co/news/post/experimenting-with-the-hot-bloom-cold-brewing This is just one article and there are many! But this one was informative and did their testing in a way that seemed, while not scientifically flawless, informative but still open minded and honest! 😊
Someday I will figure out how to export from premiere pro correctly (thought I had it this time) so the final video matches what is in my Premiere Pro. Also I am currently using my iphone 13 until I can get a better camera 😊🤘 I'm glad you're here and please enjoy! Have any of you had an espresso martini with mezcal or tequila in it before?
Ceremony Coffee Synthesis Pourover Recipe Ground Coffee - 18 g 195°F Water - 300 ml/g Bloom - 60 g Brew Time - 3-4 Minutes Method •Grind coffee at a pour over grind setting (drip setting or close to it)• •Place V60 dripper over a decanter or a cup, put filter in, wet it, put grounds in, set timer, •Put first 60 g water in wetting as much of the grounds as possible, wait 30-40 seconds for the coffee to “bloom.” •Proceed to add the rest of the water slowly until you reach 300 g water. •Let water complete dripping. •Remove dripper and enjoy!
I mix cold brew extract with tonic water for summer coffee and when I forget to put the tonic in first, the cold brew makes an amazing foam. Always wondered how a mixologist would take advantage of cold brew being so weirdly foamable. This looks awesome!
The crema is DEFINITELY helpful for the drinks that need air to foam (espresso martinis and the like as the CO2 can help with that process and give it some nice body😄🤘 There are recipes for espresso highballs (riffs on whiskey highball) and the foam can definitely be a problem in that case 😂 some baristas will use a syringe to get the espresso out of the bottom of the shot and leave the crema part out and then use the coffee in the syringe and add it into the soda water/tonic water that way to avoid the science fair volcano type situation that can happen if you add the espresso to tonic water too fast or in the wrong order 😂
Nice review! I prefer the regular AirPods, mostly bc I find they connect a lil more reliably and they’re cheaper. I’m hard of hearing as well, but they work for me. And Audiobooks are the best!
@@Mettlehead I listened to the “design of everyday things” by Don Norman, great book for UX. I listened to a lot of self helps books for a few years, some I like are “you deserve the truth” by Erica Williams Simon. “How to be an imperfectionist” by Steven Guise. “Leaving the OCD circus” by Kirsten Pagacz. “The subtle art of not giving a f*ck” by Mark Mason. “Everything is figureoutable” by Marie Forleo. “Indistractable” by Julie Li and Nir Eyal. I also like making art, so a few books I like there are “art, money, success” by Maria Brophy. “The rogue artists survival guide” by Ravi Perez. and the last one isn’t as much art as it is being creative “Creative calling” by Chase Jarvis
@@JennaJams LOVE design of everyday things, indestractable! A few you mentioned I have had on my list to listen to but the "rouge artist survival guide" I now must add as well! So excited for these! Thank you for the recommendations!😊🤘
I bought the Beats Studio Pro instead for prime day. I did really want the Airpods Max but that price was kinda too wild for me for headphones, even with the prime day deal. The beats only cost me $160 so when it arrives we will see if i made a good choice
beats are still a great option and they partnered with Apple a few years ago I believe! Let me know how it goes! They have a beautiful design and I am curious how they perform!
I agree these are very expensive headphones but I wanted to share they were on sale because they do have the great integration features for those that love Apple products and when things go on sale for Prime day they can be worth it for some for work flow purposes/ die hard fans etc. but I also love sony/bose as well. Also, do you find the Sony head band to be soft enough? I do like the Apple band as it doesn't hurt the top of my head as much as some.
@@Mettlehead Those are valid points. IG if you all already heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem the Airpods Max are alot more worth it. I don't actually have a pair of Xm5s, but that's just what i've heard. According to USPS my new headphones are coming in 2-4 hours lol so unfortunately i am of no help right now.
Hii!! Thanks for sharing this - I am looking for some new headphones because the pods make my ears feel so tired after a while. Hmm - I will definitely consider it.
I think for sound editing not so much, the headband is nice because it doesn't hurt the top of my head BUT the bose ones were on sale too and if you like the bose brand for noise cancellation purposes I think they are really wonderful as well and have a nice color range and solid quality!
I started off speaking english but then saw my dog then started speaking in my dog and my secret language 😭 it just happens when I see him because he is so cute!
