So what exactly is Garage Golf you ask? Garage Golf is THE golf destination for the everyday golfer. If you're like us then you understand that a pro golfer doing a review on a golf club or product doesn't necessarily translate well to what that product will do for you as an average golfer. Here are Garage Golf we have a golfer for every swing type and we look to cater to your needs. When we do product or simulator reviews our goal will be to put everything to the test for that specific item and give you the input you desire. What makes us better than the next person to give you this input? Well in a short answer...Nothing! That's just it! We worked long and hard to put together a sim room that will allow us the ability to make these types of videos for you, the every day golfer. Hence our slogan, "Garage Golf, Extraordinary Golf Info for the Extra-ORDINARY Golfer!"
I have just bought a set of these, simply because they will be easier to hit in the 5 to 8 iron range. I play off of 17 and am amazed when I see people on RU-vid with 200 yard shots with a 5iron and still have a high handicap. I hit a 7 iron 135 to 140 yards and if I could hit it 155 like this video I am sure my handicap would tumble
I am an 18 handicap. If your distances went up it would most likely be one club per shot and mainly due to stronger lofts. Believe me there are some many facets to the game of golf that even if you can hit your 7 iron 200 yards you can easily be an 18 handicap because you haven't worked on other aspects of your game, namely chipping and putting where many of the strokes often come into play.
Yeah, very true. I was not implying that you are not an 18 handicap, I was only stating that if I could hit it a lot further my h/cap would tumble I was a 12 h/cap before the new system came in and shot up to 18. I am not hoping for a miracle cure with these clubs, just to go back to more accuracy I am also approaching 60 and need more help lol
No word yet if or when you’ll be able to play these courses on an iPad. Most likely the graphics requirement will prevent that from happening at least at the same level that they appear now.
I understand but honestly every company does it in some way or another it seems. Uneekor and Skytrak have subscription fees to use third party software. Foresight requires the Gold package and rolls in the cost of their software into their unit. Trackman is crazy high for course add ons and doesn't allow use with GSPRO..etc.
@@GarageGolfand I’ll never buy from any other company that extorts me for a yearly fee for 3rd party connectors. Imagine paying $12,000 and being ok with being extorted a yearly fee to use gspro. There is literally zero value ad from Uneekor for this additional fee.
What if youre wanting to hit an iron shot on the mat and not on a tee? As soon as you remove the ball off the tee to move on the mat it will automatically tee up another ball when you haven’t hit the first one?
Nope the setup recognizes the launch monitor and program so knows when the next shot is hit and then it auto tees it up from there. It is pretty cool. Unfortunately the company seems to no longer be in business.
Honestly both very much the same. Over time I actually injured myself while using the CCE mat. As I did more research I started realizing most of them are the same, until I found and tested the SIGPRO Softy Mat. It is my all time favorite. I did a full review on the channel you can view here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VeiFhXZnjfg.htmlsi=4IEe8RxOWSmOoBB6 The golf mat is by far the most important component of the golf sim build in my opinion. This mat not only represents the feel of real grass but also protects your joints and elbows which is key.
I know its been a while since the test but a number I would like to know is how many mishits did you have with each? 20hcp here. Ordered these for more forgiveness on mishits and my first attempt with graphite.
Any major mishits were only initially as I got a hang for the weight of the club with the larger clubface. Once I figured that out it was bombs away with these. Very forgiving and easy to hit.
I don’t know how you operate Am sorry but you offer help I went to your website fill the info requested and nothing no email back also call and no way to get in touch with you!

i purchased a full set of Halo full-face irons with senior, graphite Helium shafts. they have revitalized my game and my enjoyment. even the wedges are easy to hit, even out of the sand. unless you are a rock-solid iron player, you will love these clubs.
My eye xo has the same issue with my 54/58 wedges. I think the shine from the face confuses the LM. Ended up buying all black wedges and have had no misreads since. Nice review. Looking forward to apex when it’s integrated with uneekor.
I experienced a similar issue with driver recently. I might have pin pointed it to blue tees and a light shining from my ceiling but still need more testing to confirm. Thanks so much for watching!
Hello Roland, it has been a while. I’m having trouble with my swing optix cameras. All I see is a white circle the size of a quarter in the View program. I tried messing around with the focus but it doesn’t help. I’m wondering is I don’t have enough light in my room. How much do you have in your space? Thanks
Lighting is important but not sure why you are just seeing a white circle. Make sure to reach out and create a ticket on Uneekor customer support for that. They take a day or so to respond but I've had good experiences there. In my previous setup I used LED lights when primarily using the swing optix cameras for swing practice that really helped clear up the image upon replay. Lighting for those is vital for sure.
@@GarageGolf I just set up a ticket for tomorrow. Before I purchased the cameras someone from there told me the cameras were so good they didn’t need much light. I think now he was talking about the impact camera. I might have to get new lighting. That stinks, I don’t have a good way to mount from my ceiling. Thank you
@@pebblebeach65 please keep me posted and let me know about your experience. With my set up, I just bought a cheap tripod and mounted an LED panel to it that ran off of a battery so there was nothing specific that I had to do with the light other than to make it brighter in there, please let me know what you find out from Uneekor.
I have the BenQ LK936ST set up in my golf simulator and would like to host football game watching parties. The sim is setup at a 4:3 aspect ratio, but TV is wider. Is there a simple method to switch from sim to TV? When I hit the aspect ratio button, the image is far too wide and I'd have to go through the adjustment to "make it a tv." Is there not a simple toggle?
Unfortunately with a projector there seems to be little options there. I wish they had a "Picture Profile 1" "Picture Profile 2" etc. You can possibly go to aspect ratio and set to "Auto" and try that to see if it automatically switches based upon the input device but always a problem I have incurred as well.
@@GarageGolf one final update on this (I have not yet done it). From ChatGPT: aspect ratio and corner adjustments are typically part of the image settings that can be saved in the image memories of projectors like the BenQ LK936ST. This means that each image memory can have a unique aspect ratio and specific corner adjustments tailored to the content or the projection surface.
You can go in there and select your club at any time. You can also name all of your clubs as well including brand and model which Skytrak was one of the first to allow that feature as well.
Hey there, new watcher. Do you use E6 though the skytrak membership or do you get your E6 seperatly? Like is this purchased as the add-on from skytrak (E6 and WTP)?
In my case I used directly I believe. I believe this video was previous to how they have it set up now since it's over 4 years old. By the way thanks for watching! Make sure to check out some of the new content when you can. I'm here anytime if you ever have questions!
@@GarageGolf they are receiving a % of the sales for providing some of the assets and physics from their virtual golf. Smart since they will be moving on to a much better virtual golf software on the upcoming month or so.
@@dubbs1923 Actually didn't know that but good to know. See you learn something new every day. Graphics do look great though, I have to give them that for sure.
This is a no brainer... for ppl that get paid advertisment that get it free i bet its awesome. But to pay 350 per year to get all that... its just a simple and easy NO NO. Go get gspro and never look back for 250. its 1000 times and 1000+ courses better (and more added daily). Its a no brainer unless you get paid to say the contrary. i bet that would be great and they would make some sells for 150... maybe at most 200. But 350 ? someone has to be super dumb to go for it.
Contrary to most popular belief I don’t get everything for free. I pay for most of my stuff myself and even if I didn’t I would not alter my stance on things so if someone were to provide something to me to review it is with the understanding that my review will be from my perspective and an honest review. Anyone who has followed my channel for the past 7 years would vouch for that. I like the play of the sim play personally on the Skytrak app as I stated in the video. I also use GSPRO daily and there are some things I love and some things I don’t. While it’s fantastic it is not perfect. For me it’s about multiple options for people, not just fitting everything into one category.
I agree with Roland sim piece is only part of the equation. Skytrak range and practice software is the best on the market bar none. I use those pieces 75% of the time. Sim is only 25%. I have to see this for a bit before I decide on Course Play. The $129 package is the no-brainer. I also need to see the new E6 Apex as well.
GC2 doesn't have anywhere near the software that Uneekor does with the View software. No A.I. Trainer. No built in swing analysis with integrated cameras. No integrated capability with something like the Uneekor Balance Optix mat. In the future we will also see things like GVision, Gameday and more. Lots of value there in my opinion. Do agree with you on the subscription cost of having to add GSPRO though.
Good info. Presently I have the Essential + E6 + WGT courses for $249/yr. What happens to that subscription (which expires in October) if I were to upgrade to Essential + Course play for $350?
I would get with Skytrak customer service before just to confirm but I would assume you would continue to have your current essential subscription with access to E6 until October and your course access will begin immediately as of the date you move forward with the course package as that course package is an add on to the essential package at the cost of $220.00.
Love my Cleveland hybrid 2 halo. Only using my Calloway 3 wood off the tee sometimes on narrow starts. All my irons are Cleveland launchers. Would love it if you could leave the music off. Really good review.
Unfortunately they don't ship out of the U.S. You would need to get with a freight forwarder like DHL that you could get an actual physical address in the U.S. to have them ship to and then have the freight forwarder send to you from there.
Shoot me an email when you get a chance at Roland@MyGarageGolf.com and we'll work on setting up a time to talk and go over everything. Look forward to it!
I believe the update is applicable to both Skytrak and Skytrak+. I would check out a couple of other videos to see about the Ipad experience as I only tested the PC version in this video. I am not sure if course play is playable on an Ipad at this point.
Just seen SK said on Twitter “We’re working on an iOS version that will be released around September, but that will only be for newer iPads running the M2 chip.”
Graphics-wise, I would put it up there with GSPRO from my testing. I did like the graphics a lot. I believe it looks better than FSX considerably but will continue testing other courses to see how they compare.

What no one ever talks about is the amount of bounce you get from different mats. I want to know what mat is the most realistic to a fairway. Mats in general make bad shots look better because of the forgiveness and bounce when hitting down on them. If it hurts to hit into it, then you’re taking too much of a divot and need to work on leveling your swing at the bottom of the arc. Pain is the best teacher…food for thought
Pain is not the best teacher. Take it from someone who injured themselves testing a golf mat doing this on the channel and who was out of golf for half a year as a result. This video is several years old and even in this video I indicated it is not my favorite mat. I have reviewed others on the channel here with much greater success. My favorite is the SIGPRO Softy from The Indoor Golf Shop.
It means how many "active sessions" you can have open at one time. Think of each club as it's own session with the View Software. You will want to create a session per club so it tracks the data for that club individually and then does things like shot dispersions per club, average distances per club etc. With the pro package you can have up to 100 active sessions running at a time without having to delete any.

How are the graphics on big screen? On their website a video playing shows a sand bunker and it looks really low teck. just wondering if it is high quality graphics.
Graphics are dependent on the software program you are using (Examples are GSPRO, TGC2019, etc) and the computer graphics card you have. Graphics with GSPRO are phenomenal and are in 4k resolution. The video replay you see with the bunker is just from their swing optix cameras so they will be a bit grainy but that is just video replay, not really graphics. Reach out to me at roland@mygaragegolf.com with any questions. I can line you up with everything you will need to have a killer setup with fantastic graphics. Such an over-exaggerator! Lol. It was only 5 minutes in. I start testing the mat at 7 minutes in. Number 1, that is a very nice vacuum! Number 2, if you buy this mat you will need a really good vacuum, just an FYI. If only I had created chapters so that people could skip past the parts they didn't have any interest in....hmmmm🤔
