Congrats on your first video. Binged our on some of your content. As someone using Notion for my businesses I appreciate your perspective and honest optimism.
Thanks! 🙏 Yes, there's a couple of ways I can think to trigger multiple automations: 1) In the settings of the Notion Button, add more "Steps" that are actioned after the click. You can make 1 Button Click trigger the sending of a notification to 5 separate Slack Channels, for example, and then from there, trigger 5 separate automations. 2) Within your Make.com automation, you could add a step at the end to trigger a different automation (either within Make or Zapier, for example). You achieve this "chaining" behaviour with the Webhooks module. Would you like me to make a video on these ideas?
Hi @@toni-sian Actually mi problem is: I have to sync some databases for different clients. They have to see only few things and not our all stuff. The problem that I'm having actually is with the APP Webhook outgoing in Slack, which is giving me only one choice. Is ok to have different buttons in Notion, that was my solution,:one different button for each project fo sync Tasks and Documents databases. So I just need to find a way to trigger something like 15 webhooks. :-) But I have the feeling that I'm missing something on Slack. Thanks a lot, your channel is really interesting!
I hear ya! Guilty of this too. One idea is to wireframe the design for a new page on a notepad or simple design tool, and then port to Notion when done. That could help keep more focused on design and function, then aesthetics can come later
Back again to your video. So when you said to send the proposal in pdf along with video. Am I suppose to send the same content in the pdf in text as well? Wouldn't be redundant? @14:16
@@noormuhammad888 Ah OK let me clarify. If you record a Loom, then I recommend just sending a short bit of text as your proposal, “Hi, Check out this video I recorded for you, explaining how I can help”. If you don’t record a Loom, and want to do a PDF, then again, just send a real short text, one sentence, telling them to check out your attached PDF. Does that clarify?
I spend few hours and could not figure out how to solve this, Thanks Toni, you save my days! I searched everywhere to find the answer, finally I get the answer from your channel, thanks for create this video!
Excellent video Toni. I'm totally impressed by your execution of connecting Upwork feeds to Notion and then automating proposal creation process using GPT assistant. Can you tell me more about how did you connect the Notion database to fetch the RSS feeds? Did you used their API and design a cron job or do we have another solution for it? Would appreciate your insights. Subscribed 🤩
Hey thanks for your comment and the subscribe! 🙌 Good question - I'm not using their API, nor a cron job - basically the whole thing runs on a Make.com scenario and it goes like this: 1) RSS Module => Pull all the jobs I'm interested in, every hour (which kind of simulates a Cron Job). Go here to learn how to grab your custom RSS Feed URL => support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211063078-Search-for-Jobs 2) Pass those jobs into a OpenAI Module ("Message an Assistant"), which calls my Custom Assistant that I described in the video 3) Add the filtered jobs into my Notion Database with the Notion Module "Create a Database Item" That's it! You might have to do some parsing in Make in-between these steps, but that's the main structure. 💡Connecting Make.com to Notion can be a little bit tricky, so I made a previous video on it which should help => ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jmY2-0vDIX4.htmlsi=j1Rwf7s7DhVYm6uv Cheers, Toni
Hey, the algorithm got me here. Watched it completely and noticed you only started 2 weeks ago. Congratulations! I have no idea how long you had the idea in your head before you finally released your first video, but reminder that most of us dream of starting but never actually start something, which makes you already successful, and the algorithm already works in your favor. After this motivational message, I like the way you manage the clients, I like to see how you did the sync button. Im using notion myself but haven't looked too much into the complex stuff yet.
Hey 👋 Thanks for your comment! I appreciate the support. I had it in my head for about... 5 months, I think - so yeah, I'm excited to be able to talk about geeky stuff and have it resonate with people. Regarding the Sync button, I just recorded a video on it that you can check out 🤓 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IU8_2Y36RYk.html I'll do another video soon that also covers the Automations I've built to power the Client Portal. Cheers!
@@KenshiDigital Hey 👋 Yeh there’s a slight delay, I’ve found it’s anywhere from a few seconds up to 2 minutes. I assume that Notion batches their native Automation requests.
