Hi, i mounted them to PCB cylinder but i recommend to mount them into Steel pipe from outside.. you will get boost because one side is by magnetism closed and second which is open will be much stronger, I had 8 poles of magnets More poles, higher frequency - better for smaller particles.. for big particles is enough less frequency
@@MemorialSEMUGEN more magnetic force - higher gauss surface also can help, but nessesary is higher frequency.. bigger ALU plates can be separated even with 500Hz frequency In the industry some eddy current separstors have 20kHz 30kHz frequency for separating Cu copper wires particles. So depends on size and shapes you want to separate.
mount magnets on the rotor but each magnet has different rotation - first has north, second south, next north, and so on... If you rotating this rotor, you create eddy currents which are only alternate magnetic field.
New Robotic separation video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qCqqmJ3WlV0.html Separating only plastic, glass, aluminium can and ferrous can, because of COVID. :)
hello dominik, excellent work ! I have many questions Can you please send me the project report of this?? Please I need it for a project. Please send it on my email ? My email is lucorteg7889@gmail.com. thanks !
Hey! I'm contacting you regarding your video on RU-vid, The Automatic Waste Separator. We were planning on building a similar project and would like to ask you a few questions about your project. Any help will be greatly appreciated and we will credit your work appropriately in our project report. Please let me know if you're willing to do the same.
Eddy current cylinder is not so good designed.. (only plastic PVC cylinder with magnets) if you mount magnets on steel (not plastic) tube with thickness of 4mm (4mm on my magnets, it depends on magnet powers), you can get about 50% more power, because, you reduce magnetic resistence. Information about construction and more is available in this files.. uloz.to/file/6TwiBsBAsoiw/waste-separating-rar
I am working on Robot + camera : separating Plastic, Glass, Paper, and Magnetic separator will separate Tetrapack, aluminium can, ferrous can Robot will be mounted on the first conveyor (upper) DEADLINE: 04/2020
Hello Dominik, Congratulations for what you do on waste recycling. I work with my friends from the university in sustainable development on a similar project but we can not differentiate between types of plastics. Can you share the arduino code on this part? we can show you what we have done and how it works. We are open to share our knowledge.
I think , it is possible, In this video you can see that alternate magnetic field created with rotating magnet (South - North pole) which react with gold, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R1IXg3km4jY.html There is the best sorting materials with eddy current (It depend on conductivity and shape): 1. Aluminium 2. Magnesium 3. Copper 4. Silver 5. Zinc 6. Gold
Hello, I would really like to ask you a couple questions about this project. We are a business in the US that could use your help and we would be willing to throw some money your way for the trouble.
The new separator Is in the progress , deadline : 04/2020 Multiple separating with Cartesian robotic +Matlab+Camera, eddy current generator, magnetic separation
@@bennymumoy7680 you can see that the glass is coloured - so it has low transparency, PP plastic has more transparency, and Plastic bottle has he highest transparency of IR light, Iron is separated with magnets, and aluminium has 0% transparency and detected by inductive sensors
Hi, I love this automatic segregator. I was wondering If it's okay to use the Arduino Uno for this and also, how many DC motors did you use for the conveyor belt? Thanks
only DC motors, for conveyor belt , , for speed conveyor belt - about 400 rpm, and for the slow (upper) conveyor 100 rpm, for magnetic cylinder - eddy current generator - about 1400 rpm because of bearing friction, but it need about 2500-3000 rpm for thinner pieces (MY 6812 12V 3000 rpm, 120W)
how is that glass nd plastic separated.. can u pls tell me in detail.. i read all of ur comments even though i couldnt get tat.. im doing the same kind of project.. waste management.. i would be grateful if u could explain me
glass and plastic have different transparency..., you should try (phototransistor or photodiode, and different light, and proccess it via arduino, or any microcontroller, = analog sensing)
Greetings, I'm trying to understand how your sensors are able to differentiate material properties of plastic from PP plastic and glass. How does the sensor know that this is PP plastic and this is glass and this is aluminum
Aluminium - Induction sensor - 6€ ,, PP plastic and glass - optic sensor (phototransistor or photodiode + IR LED ) connected on analog input ARDUINO and PC measuring...
Thank you...Any particular model for optic sensor you recommend? I want to purchase but not sure which model or brand to purchase (Digikey, Sparkfun, and Adafruit is where I want to purchase from)
I also searched other sensors and they used capacitive proximity sensor to separate plastic, wood, glass etc. Can I program it on arduino if I would only let my capacitive sensor to detect only plastics?
you can try it, but I think, that capacitive sensor detect only humidity..., I dont know if capacitive sensors have analog output to detect value of humidity
IR LED, Normal LED , Induction sensor , it is only alpha version, I plan the whole remake , and use all the possibilities for detection of material properties , and optical camera, face detection and others. for example - Eddy current seperator - which can separate Alluminium,Cu / Ferrous materials ... detect deformation with deformation sensor on robotic arms... , audio tests , and more...
