Thank you very much. I tried multiple strats from RU-vid and this was the only that worked. I did it on first go following your guide. The last fight was a bit hairy but I just made it. Thanks again
I always get the worse rng. He always shadows chain either yuffie or Aerith even with lifesaver on. Everyone in these videos get the most convenient rng possible 😂😂😂 dang
Thank you, thank you, thank you... seriously... thank you... Finally. Someone who posted a guide that didn't require hopping back and forth with Yuffie. I'm so happy I could cry. I kept dying on the giant cacturs. After using your guide, (with a few mild alterations) I was able to beat it on the 2nd try.
Found this video randomly looking for solutions in this fight and surprisingly what I found was your loadout was almost identical to mine - only difference being I used Enemy Skill instead of Luck up. I also used Stop regularly - which I noticed you didn't use. Stopping some of the staggered enemies was crucial to beating this more simply for me since I had more time to think! Epic build though bro and well played!
They will need to all be maxed for the linked materia to have an effect. Otherwise only the materia linked to the maxed one will have effect when casting aeroga.
Try to spread out at the very beginning. If you notice in the video Barret and Aerith got attacked first and I dodged and ran away with Yuffie. Then Spehiroth was focused on Yuffie which gave Aerith the opportunity to cast ATB ward. Hope this helps and good luck!
Idk if it helps at all. But against sephiroth alot of times his left foot points at who's he's gonna use chains on. If you press x for slow motion you wait till the move almost hits you. You'll see a slash right before it connects. Hold r1 then hit O. You'll always block it
Grats! Great blocks! Most of the other people I see completing this just spam HP Absorb/MP Absorb Blizzaga, it's really cool to see someone using Cait's abilities to win. Grats on the hard won fight!
You don't waste an ATB summoning the moogle if you do it in melee with a couple enemies, it refunds based on the number of enemies the summon animation hits. Same with dodge and dive. Also when mounted and attacking if you press the directional button the spin he does has s. And Moogle can perfect block while Cait Sith is casting a spell if you are mounted.
And you may figure this out further into the stream, but two moogle knuckles will do a lot more to a staggered foe than two fortune tellings as they double hit and increase the stagger damage multiplier.
It looks like you don't have all the weapon slot buffs turned on, like for Yuffie you switched to Crystalline Cross and it had 4 buff slots but you only filled 3, is there a strat there or are the other ones just worthless?
Try spreading out at the beginning of that fight and take your time with putting down the arcane ward down. Best time would be when Sephiroth targets Barret or Yuffie, Yuffie can brumal form dodge his attacks. Hope this helps and good luck! I believe in you!
What mode are you playing on? Trying switching to that character his about to attack and with the perfect defence materia on all characters, slowing down time with the X button helps to see who his attacking next, then straight away block with that character, best to have the pefect defence materia mastered as it will block the shadow chains
Let him! You need to set it up with the knowledge that he will octoslash you. The trick is to start the dance and get the first firaga off before Sephiroth casts chains on any party member a second time around. Set a goal to have haste on Yuffie, atb ward down, an arcane ward set away from the atb ward, manowall on everyone, and resist on everyone as a minimum before octoslash. One deviation I used was to use an assess on Sephiroth. For me, he was healing in the second half of the fight with blizzaga. Once I got a good dance going after his initial octoslash and had a good set up, all I had to monitor was what he would absorb. If I can do it, anyone can do it!
The brumal form strat is so OP, I didnt know it cost 0 ATB to activate it either, thats very good. Will definately be trying this out, even during yuffies legendary
The reason is because it gives Cloud the best stats possible for him. Equipping 1 refocus materia gives Cloud +2 on attack and magic attack and +1 on all other stats. I am confident in my ability that Cloud wont get hurt so I never equipped HP up materia. If I were to equip another MP up Materia it literally does nothing because we reached Clouds MP limit, unless I equip a spell, then Cloud could get +4 MP, but I dont ever run out of MP in this fight anyways. Magic up materia is one way to buff Clouds stats, but Aerith has both Magic up materias. So you can replace the Refocus materia if you want, like for more healing or a barrier or something, but if you want to do the best damage possible with Cloud, use all the Refocus materia you have. I hope this helps and breaks down why I use Refocus over other options.
I've tried everybody's guide probably 60 times and nothing worked. This one had me beat him in less than 8 tries and in 4 mins the time I did. Some of my purple materia was level one and I still did it. The only variation was Tifa had 40 points of health left and wiess has 10% health. So I summoned Shiva cause I was out of options. I then casted a thundaga using arieth since cloud was down too. Tifa fell and Shiva finished him off. Thank you so much dude.

Thanks for this strategy guide. I pretty much used the same load except I made these changes in case anyone needs any more help: Cloud (Elemental + Fire, Magnify + Time), Aerith (Mp Absorb + Lighting), Tifa (Elemental + Fire). Have Haste on all of the time and as soon as Weiss enters his second phase, cast Bahamut. I barely made it alive but the last two moves was Bahamut Megaflare and one cast of Thundaga by Aerith. Good luck to anyone trying this. It took me like four hours to beat him.
Thanks man. This worked great for me. I actually managed to get him with only 3 aga spells from inside the ward with Cloud and Aerith. I panicked when he got the ballistic blackhole out and started casting without the shiled. It worked out.
