Hi! I am a student of BMCC and I got an email from NYU gallatin saying that I was invited to apply for transfer. I am confused whether I should proceed or not.
What class required the additional fee? Additionally, what was the fee? I've been admitted to Gallatin and knowing what lies ahead cost wise (I desire to take classes in all the schools) would be very helpful. You can simply say, "the fee was well into four digits," or something similar. Thank you!
It's not really about the school and more the actual class, like ones that are labs or art classes and the like. I believe it's because of material costs. One example is a class I'm planning on taking next semester, intro to programming for games, it's in tisch and the fee is $153. The fee does vary by class but from what I've seen they aren't a lot, especially compared to the total tuition. I haven't seen any reach 4 digits but I believe I saw one that was in the $500s. As I said, though, it depends so don't just take my word for it. For example, I would have no clue about lab/science courses cause I don't do that so those could very well be more. If you'd like a better look you can check albert course search. I believe it's available to anyone but I'm not entirely sure. albert.nyu.edu/albert_index.html click public course search, you'll be able to see all the classes currently available with their descriptions, times, fees, etc. It's also what you use to look up classes to figure out what you want to take once you're enrolled. There is another way but it's much less pleasent lol
I was going to post this in September but then I thought I wanted to refilm it because some things happened at the end of my senior year that I wanted to include, but then I decided that it would be better to just make a part two, which I will release soon, hopefully next week but workload so...maybe...
