He was superb, Joe. Fired Rovers to promotion in 2001 and was on the verge of being in the England squad for the World Cup in 2002. Sadly, he had a motorbike accident in the summer of 2002 which caused him a brain injury. He wasn't the same player after that, but what a player he was before that accident. Hopefully will have some more Jansen videos coming up.

I agree. There were so many quality players in the Prem back then that players like Pedersen and Tugay didn't get as much attention. Even away from the 'top 4', there were players like Matty Taylor, Laurent Robert, Patrik Berger, Kevin Nolan, Mendieta scoring screamers. Pedersen would be seen as one of the best in the world today, there aren't many ballers left in today's game.

Only Rovers could do something like that. I still remember the feeling when Jensen scored for them. Gutted. I don't know the stats, but we must be up there for the most late goals conceded. It has been happening for a while.
