@@cedarrockcabin3633 I’m so glad Joanne! I went to my aunts funeral yesterday and we are all getting older. We sat and talked for several hours. It was nice
I love all crafts. Sometimes that gets me in trouble. I see something new and think I think I’d like that. Get some of the stuff and then I start and it’s not as easy as I thought. I just started water coloring and I am not an artist by all means. My work looks like a kindergarten’s painting. I have to practice but I am not sure I can get into it! I have done card making with rubber stamps for many years. I make Christmas and birthday cards and people seem to like them and I enjoy making them but I have fortune in supplies. Cross stitching I have lots of the threads and have collected lots of book. I did that a lot for while too! It’s fun to keep busy I am retired now and I finally have a craft room that I can just close the door and come back to whenever I wish. I can’t imagine not doing some type of crafting and doing something to keep on using my mind. I enjoy your channel and think you are awesome. Keep up your great videos. Blessings ❤️
Hi Kym, you and Steve got alot done!! Your front garden looks very tidy. I think sometimes you have to be able to say leave it for another day, I've been guilty of the 'I just need to finish this' but am learning to listen to my body. I enjoy a variety of crafts it just depends on my mood but I find crochet very relaxing, I like drawing and water colour painting when I'm in the right frame of mind and of course sewing but I don't always feel like setting everything up!! 😅 Love to you Frankie and the girls Xx ❤️🐔🐱
@@jaynelymer6442 thanks Jayne! I am terrible at relaxing and overdo it way too much lol. I also love crochet but I put crafts away in the summer with canning and gardening. I’m ready to relax a bit!
I haven't done it for years but I used to love cross stitch. Then I started nursing school and once I finished that I had my first child. No more time for cross stitching. My kids are all grown so I should really pick it back up. Nice video as always Kym!!
It was fun being outside with you while you waited for the trucks to pass by!! I have a small plot in front of my townhome that I have jammed with perennials over the years. I started to do 15 minutes per day on fall cleanup & it will get done & my legs can handle the work. Glad you have fun things to do that help you rest your body!! Hugs & Blessings to you Kym !! 🤗😘
Love the sewing video. Fun. I remember those beautiful cabinets with record player, radio combo. Happy you are blessed with your parents gorgeous piece.❤️
You are such an inspiration Kym! I’m going to make a table runner!! I heard an idea from one channel that crossed my feed. She suggested putting one holiday fabric on the front and on the opposite side a different holiday. I need to go to the fabric store!!
Hi Kym, you did a really nice job on the runner, the fabric is gorgeous and I think you made the right decision not too quilt it the pumpkins are cute as they are. I enjoyed seeing your family stereo again things like that always whisk you back in time, I think the back is known as a galleried back. Anyway nice to spend some time in the sewing room again ❤ love to you Frankie and the girls Xx ❤️🐱🐔 ( Hope it gets cooler soon for you all)
@@jaynelymer6442 hi Jayne! Galleried back is likely correct so thank you! It’s been blissfully cool the last two days, and Mr. Steve and I worked several hours on all the flowerbeds! It was fun sewing again so more to come!
Cute, cute runner. The stripes would have been cute to add as a border also. Enjoyed the sewing video very much. I know what you mean about the increase in prices. I can count on my internet going up $5 every year and just got notice that the water bill will be going up 13%. Hope it all ends eventually. 😊
Kym, I am thrilled that you have a sewing project to share. I so enjoy sewing videos! I have the same iron as you. I may have seen yours a few years ago and purchased mine based on your and Ms. Gay’s recommendation. I love it and would recommend as well. Yes, it’s pricey but if you sew a lot, it is so worth the investment. Just an idea for anyone who would want a longer runner but only has a 42/43 inch WOF (width of fabric), you could add another fabric (complimentary or contrasting pattern) on each end, maybe 5 inches in Kym’s case, to make a longer runner. That being said, I love your runner and the length looks great! I could see a cute tiered tray in that area. Can’t wait to see how you style that space. Have a great day Kym!
I’m not a sewer so you lost me. I’ve tried sewing but my machine I hate the thread bunched up rips and gets caught. I’ve cleaned it I’ve re threaded it and yes I buy the right thread. I’ve had it serviced and they say oh it’s fine sews great. No! It’s don’t sorry! No I’m not a real sewer but I know a little about mending and such. I just need a better sewing machine
If it's at the beginning, if you hold the threads at the back and pull gently a you start to sew you'll prevent the 'rat's nest'. I use 'leaders' and 'enders' when quilting, piecing.
We are in North Dakota right now and what a big surprise we had when we saw hundreds of acres of sunflowers! So gorgeous. I wish we could be here to see them harvested but unfortunately won’t be. What do you do with all of the loofah? 😊
I get an absolute bargain on farm fresh eggs. I get them from a lady at church. I get a dozen and a half, and she only charges $4.00. I insist she take $5.00. I saw 18 Walmart brand eggs were $6.16 yesterday. She doesn't charge a lot, because she see's it more as a ministry. God bless her precious heart. ❤❤❤
Good afternoon Kym, my dad was stationed in Germany as well , i went to 1st to 3rd grade there , it was fun i have a brother and sister born while we were there , have a wonderful weekend, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
lol… don’t ya just hate that when a bulb breaks in the socket. Back in the day I would use a raw that was sliced off on one end stuffed that in and twist it out.. worked like a charm :)
Hi Kym, those sunflowers are gorgeous and I love the gourds and louffers hanging down from the arch. Wynonna is so cute I wouldn't be able to stop cuddling her, hope Frankie's arthritis feels better soon tell him aunty Jayne sympathises with him and sends hugs ❤ You've done a great job on those kits they're so detailed !! I always enjoy your videos whatever the subject Kym, craft videos over Winter are nice and I do love a vintage cookbook recipe maybe even with some vintage gadgets included and a room by room decoration video would be really nice 👍🥰 Whatever you decide to do I'll be here, love to you Frankie and the girls Xx ❤️🐱🐔
@@jaynelymer6442 hi Jayne! Wynonna is so cute I do hold her a lot. She is learning to tolerate it lol. Thanks for your great suggestions on videos too!
Good morning Kym, I enjoy all your videos good tips on removing broken bulbs I use garden cloves with the rubber coatings works well It's cool here and a bit cloudy nice to see the girls Happy safe Labor day :-)
Great tip for the broken light bulb. I've also read/seen that if a light bulb breaks but there is stil some bulb left, if you cut a potato in two and push a cut end over the jagged bits of the bulb you can unscrew the rest. I've never tried it, but it sounds feasible. We got a little bit of unexpected rain yesterday which lasted about 15 minutes, and we're in the 45-50% range for today and tomorrow. It's supposed to be a bit cooler here too in a couple of days.
Loved seeing the girley girls. Sad to see the gardens winding down. So excited for fall’s arrival with cooler temps & fall decor. I always used a potato cut in half to get my broken lightbulbs out of the socket. Hugs & blessings to you Kym. Be well 🤗😘
Good morning, Kym! Thank you for showing and talking more about the building sets. They would be great Christmas gifts for grandchildren. Loved the garden tour! I love that you share successes from your garden and the trellis worked so well I am going to ask my husband to help me add one to our garden. Praying you have a blessed Labor Day weekend and that cooler temperatures abound!😃
@@deborahdavis3472 thank you Deborah! I think they are great sets and they do have smaller ones as well as the giant ones. I’m praying for rain-I’m highly allergic to ragweed and the count is sky high here! My eyes get so red and itchy. Have a great Labor Day weekend!
@@thewellnesshomesteader my husband suffers from ragweed allergies as well. We need the rain here, too! Our lake level is the lowest it has been all summer and our dock sit up pretty high above the water level now. Plus, a good thunderstorm is a great excuse to snuggle with a good book and hot cup of a favorite tea. Sometimes the little things bring the most joy.💓
@@deborahdavis3472 bless his heart! My eyes are most affected versus a lot of congestion which is a blessing. Usually ragweed season starts September 15th so we are early!. I don’t like taking allergy meds with my high blood pressure so I suffer through it. Praying we both get rain! 50% chance today for me
Hi Kym, I really liked the Halloween banner some really cute images. The blouse is very nice, like the cut on that and the sleeves. Thanks for sharing your purchases and tips. Love to you Frankie and the girls Xx 💗🐔🐱
