I purchased this same replacement for my 2000 VW Golf. That plastic ridge along the back prevents it from sliding in all the way which prevents the side tabs from clicking into place. I returned it.
I had one of these that was part of a set, but I cannot remember what the other items in the set were...I think there was a camera that converted into a gun, but don't remember anything else. Anyone?

That's a nice model. There's a James Bond car from the first movie Dr. No, it's a 57 Chevy Belaire V8 black convertible with a red interior. The official "Bond 007" version is like $80. I bought the same exact model without all the Bond 007 branding for $13, so same thing, there are some real bargains if you sniff around a bit.
I'm looking to see if you have any, sounds coming from the front of the motor, mine sounds like a Jet Airplane , not sure why? Any help would be much appreciated ty
I have vintage f1 burago cars from 80s and the plastic wheels really let it down and worried i will break it trying to remove them i thought maybe of buying rubber goodyear tires to wrap around the plastic wheels but i need a better solution
Hi, great video. Interesting way to overcome bad design. I just posted a video about replacing that same cable. did not have either of your issues. mine was a 1046. However I did notice that the bolt you used for the cable bracket flexed as soon s you engaged the handle. I cannot help but think that the bolt will not hold up very long under use. perhaps a 3/8 bolt or use washers to give more lateral strength to the threads. overall a great video though.
I would have made a brace on the back side where the cable connectson that bolt. Cause when you engage it, you can see the stress it's taking. It was trying to pull it forwards and over time may screw that hole up and pull forwards too much. A brace on the backside to stabilize it and take the force when you engage it would be good. Otherwise pretty good job for a pretty crap design.
I have those. Actually lost the AMX for a bit and found it in my kids toybox when the wife was bagging toys to give away...thought it was gone forever.
And see how cubs decks are alot similar to deeres decks their nothing like craftsman decks but craftsman makes those. My Lt1042 is lacking power in reverse and in drive i just got its rigged up deck going today so after putting a used deck belt on i seen why the belts been shredding up from the deck engagement pulley bracket so i took the spring off and wired the pulley to stay in place so its just acting as a belt guide because the big deck doesn't go to the mower i don't even know what size the deck is thats on mine but one good thing now is its no longer shredding belts poor woman couldn't get it fixed right but her mowers lacking speed
I wish i was a mechanic save me some money but i guess i can learn a lot from this video I'm also interested in learning how too do this but need the tools too lol
That's the style I'm looking for but can't find it. Do you have part number or link to ebay part? The one I see that's similar has a curved lip up but want more of a flat one like yours.
The D2 mercedes is such an underrated car, I was able to snatch it on ebay for 12 dollars plus shipping. I dont understand why there is no hype for it, when I saw this car with all of the details I for sure thought this car would boom. Its such a shame though that they gave this mercedes such a good treatment with the classic philips car system banner and baumler sponsor but not the same with the alfa romeo 155 v6 dtm
thanks for making this video. i have the same mower problem. the mower was given to me because the belt kept coming off. the 96.5 belt that it says it takes seems to be way too loose. what size do you have on yours? will be doing the mod you showed. wondering if the pto spring is wore out, it wont tension the belt properly. what do you think? thanks

I need to do the exact same thing to my 1999 ford f150 4.6l 4x4..can we chat about taking it out..my clutch isn’t engaging..everything else is normal except it doesn’t move when in gear and clutch is released..a worn pressure plate.
