Hey to everyone who has or will watch this vid. Allow me to give some context years later. People say that this video is kinda crappy from a review standpoint... or rather VERY crappy. And I do agree. The reason I played and reviewed this was because at the time, I was planning on reviewing a ton of games from a bundle I bought at the time called 'The Eidos Bundle'. This was explained in my previous video on 'Anachronox'. (I also didn't delve deep enough in that game either for time reasons) This would have included games like Legacy of Kain, Tomb raider, Deus ex, Just Cause and even the Legendary game: Flora's Fruit Farm. I should have mentioned this somewhere here as clearly people where more interested in this game than that one. This is to say I didn't choose to play a game I didn't like but rather I reviewed a game from a bundle, which I didn't like with the express purpose of reviewing all the games from said bundle. I didn't want to shit on this game, although it ended up looking like that. I came into these two games with very limited knowledge about what I was in for. I did review it too harshly and I do come off a bit entitled. I realised that reviewing a game that has a small but dedicated following means that your likely to gain the eyes of those who LIKE the game and so maybe being rough and tough wasn't a smart move. I mainly came at this game as a personal review instead of a professional one, as I planned to with the other games. I was planning on continuing with the Legacy of Kain games, but I ended up going to University and didn't have much free time for video creation. For the time being, I've been streaming on twitch and recently hit affiliate. I've been thinking about making game reviews again and I want to create full character sprites like other reviewers have. However, creating Vod thumbnails, new emotes, sub badges and setting up later stream scenes... I find my time is constantly streaming into streaming. I hope that it will end up working out one day that I might fully realise this channel as a funny gaming review place I want it to be. But with the quality added to it. (Not for self promotion but I do have a second channel for vods) Thanks for reading and for checking out my old videos. And sorry for the poor review. Take care.
I mean seeing that your judging a purposely built from the ground up console game which was great back int he day i played both of them in there prime on my 360 and i just feel you really shouldn't have reviewed it given your judging a game built in the start up and still the not so much but still kind of infancy of the video gaming medium where alot of this was still new and an entire new generation had just picked up the controller, this is a warped and i will admit a review of a game from a spoiled and modern gaming perspective that doesn't capture anything of the game actually has to offer nor mechanics storytelling wise and all.
Why spend time to review a game you don’t like from nearly 15 years ago. Sorta weird way to bring viewers since the only people looking up these games have fond memories of them lol when doing retrospectives it’s better to do games you like or that were so bad everyone remembers how bad they were not “it’s not my type of game so it wasn’t fun” lol that kinda negates any criticisms since you’re not familiar with or like the genre in general
Wow really a review of a game which is meant to represent the view of the person making the game can be gasp negative what a shocking revelation this must have been for you
@@everythingchristianity9968 I think that what he criticized what the fact that he said he disliked the game at the start of the video and not through a well thought analysis like a real review should be...he was saying that @nightly night is a dumb reviewer and I agree.
Excellent review. The flaws definitely get worse after leaving Anachronox. The writing, the humor, cutscenes and futuristic world are it's strong points but the fighting mechanics, storytelling, bland cast and heavy focus on exploration ultimately make the game very forgettable.
