To your point, you're correct. Drake's NOT supposed to go at family members. However, i just watched a video of Big Daddy Kane being interviewed about the beef, and his reply was that he couldn't be engaged with the actual spectacle because everyone was looking for facts instead of just enjoying a hip hop version of "the dozens". It didn't have to matter if it were true or not. Honestly, as much of a Kendrick enthusiast as i am, I'm going to go back and listen to all of that battle again with new ears and see. Not sure if my "views" (pun intended) will change, but I'm still willing to give it a try.
Drake was free to do whatever he wants. It’s battle rap. However, when you play victim, when you started it, is where the problem lies. He mentioned that man’s wife twice and each time he warned him to keep his family out of it. So because he didn’t, we got Meet The Grahams. Family being mentioned has nothing to do with who did or didn’t win the battle and if you were basing it off that, you weren’t listening. Lol The man got outclassed in every single category from rapping, bars, metaphors, flips, and vocal performance. It was a landslide. I’m not sure what Big Daddy Kane said, his opinion is his and I’m not one to debate it. We all got preferences of what we deem to be reasonable. If you cross the line, be prepared for how people handle it, is my point.

imo Y2K is better better beats i like ice as an artist. i go back to listen to Y2K more and would like to see her show live becasue the music on Y2K is decent party music.
