No they didn't. The band, especially Amy has said in numerous interviews that they didn't want a "rapper" on any of their songs, but the record company refused to release their album unless they included a full-time male vocalist because "nu metal" was the big thing at the time. They said no, so the record label said no full-time rapper, but they did have to include one on "Bring Me to Life". The band begrudgingly agreed. The record label was "Wind-Up" Records, which was also the label that Paul McCoy (and his band 12 Stones) was signed to at the time. McCoy was always going to be the original choice, albeit the label's not the bands. Here's one of those interviews where Amy Lee straight out said she never wanted a rapper (regardless of who it was). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZK7yp1GA2DE.htmlfeature=shared
What about "In My Remains"? In the film about the creation of Living Things, there was a fragment where Mike performs part of the verse. I would like to hear the full version.
Great job. I know Mike Shinoda can sing a lot of song where Chester singed melodic like this except for the parts where the voice is gutural/scream because Mike he can't sing in that style.
