I love this song. I love to play this in my car and just pump up the volume. Are you going to do more Beyond songs ? I have really enjoyed your take and breakdown of their music. Theres some really great guitar centric songs they have that i havent seen on your channel yet.
Totally agree with your opinion about the impact of Yafle the producer. Kaze is extremely talented and a gifted musician himself, but the music of his that Yafle produces has a different vibe and a charm that others can’t achieve.
Like you take on the performance. So many people reviewed this and focused on the vocal and the skills etc. But that alone doesn't make this song. It is the emotion and how much of it it can pass to the audience, strongly, unresistably, truthfully.
To be honest I too didn’t quite understand the lyrics, but I believe it’s about living life moving and moving from places to places, like from motel home to motel homes, watching TV at night, no rest, Crows of life always waking up… the Lofi production is not pleasant in the conventional sense but yet the ghostly vocals, the strings and weird snare beats creates a very dreamy sound that is very compressed. I do really love the switch to guitar solo and the ending ghostly vocals over the fading instrumentals…
Thank you for reacting to his songs . There is another song worth listening to. It's called " Cries and Whisper." The second video is by Taiwanese Diva A-Mei rendition in memory of her Mentor,Music producer, and her close friend Chang, who produced ger first debut album that prop A-Mei stardom, the third video was their first duet appearance ( The one i loved most hurt me the most) in 1996 before A-Mei's first debut album. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RjjUCQ_99q0.htmlsi=15J_V2JisUFi-Tm4 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EliR4ssJ3J4.htmlsi=5LGvebviNmd44Gt9 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bM70w2VT0So.htmlsi=Hhbypqvul2up7EI4
Hey, you're totally welcome. I might check out these when I have the time :) If you're looking for more stuff to watch, I reviewed his entire discography in a separate SP DISCOGRAPHIES video. It's 7 hours long, though, so feel free to take your time with it!
:c Sorry everyone For some reason, I'm having a really hard time getting OBS to stream properly. I don't know what's changed, but I think that it'd be worth taking some time to figure it out, so that it's nice and relaxed and not super stressful :) We'll try again next weekend - stay tuned!
I am surprised that you would make a video for this song, because even Chinese people only a few listen it. Lyrics is so encryption, So it’s really difficult to make sure what lyrics mean. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--9dHvI0LqIw.htmlsi=cN7qaTknuvaSJq7i Can you make a video focusing on this song? This song is the most touching song I have ever heard. I highly recommend it, but not many people know about it. This song is 《一万个名字》by舌头乐队
Your professionalism is great here! I found myself listening to this track recently on a binge, again 😂 I was just wrapping up my days in Beijing and will head back to my hometown, and Beijing is Song Dongye’s hometown….. What a poet he is, his lyrics are just otherworldly…. And I feel privileged to be a native Chinese speaker that I can somehow comprehend the dense information in this very track. I believe this track also won him a best lyricist award in Taiwan ❤
It's tricky :( I don't have a lot of spare time these days to do videos in addition to the paid reviews and occasional livestreams. But if you want me to review it out in a video, feel free to check out the Patreon :)
Thank you for the video! Their Lyrics are amazing! I am learning their songs recently with guitar & bass, if you want me to translate any Chinese songs I will be happy to do it for you!
I’m also a fan. Yan Ting released this single few years ago and he was also the director of this MV. He was so underrated back then. Thank you for your comments❤
Thanks for calling Lonely Rhapsody a vibe. Its my absolute favorite of all his songs, and thats a feat given there isnt a song of his i dislike. It didnt get there immediately either. It didnt make much of an impression on me at first listen but grew on me over time and when it stuck, it stuck and its been up there ever since. Most of his songs at the top of my list are like this. The catchier ones are closer to the bottom, including MO-EH-YO 😅 And good catch on the word rhapsody. Kaze confessed he put the word in there without knowing what it really meant and by the time he found out it was too late to do anything about it. 😆 Kaerou and Yasashisa both have a string section as well. The latest one is grace i think. And yes soredeha is an exceptionally beautiful piece of work. One of his most underrated too.
