Living in Yucatan I have a number of acquaintances (older that you) who quit everything and moved to Mexico with a pocket load. A few large, poorly managed peso expenses later they've found themselves living on meager incomes and no resourses to return north. That is not a position I'd care to be in. One thing I read 50 years ago, stuck. "Watch how they live and do that."

It's hard when you are dealing with aging parents. We are having an issue with my grandma right now. She insists on living by herself and she is not open to moving to NY to be with my aunt or to Costa Rica where my mom is soon to retire to (I am already in CR with my daughter). My mom and aunt have resolved themselves to the fact that things are going to be messy when my grandmother can no longer care for herself properly. Even now, she won't take advice, won't talk about the future, won't allow us to hire anyone to help her...etc. She had a stroke a few years ago and she seemed open to the idea of making some changes, but then she "got better" and is back to her old ways. My mom has put my aunt on alert and let her know that nothing is stopping her from moving to CR and that if my aunt wants our help, then she will have to get my grandma to us, and we will take care of her. As in Mexico, in CR it will be a lot cheaper to do so. My mom has assured me that she will not be like my grandma and I assured her, that I will not put up with her nonsense if she does. 😆
The US now sucks because people keep voting stupid. This is not a good solution for Americans because they will tax you if not kick you out. Many move there trying to change their culture and it all backfires . I don’t understand why people think by moving out of the country will bring solutions to their lives, it starts in your own country by not falling for the news and all other social media crap. Stop voting stupid and taking your ways to other countries and things will workout.

Mexico, however, may be a little more excitement than my family is up for. But after a career, like yourself, in public safety, quiet, calm and affordability have to be in the mix. I started seriously about 25 days ago and I’m managing to put out one 15-20 min video and one short EVERYDAY. Sometimes I’ve done two of each a day. Let’s just say the amount of stuff I have had to learn in this short amount of time has been insane! So far I’m happy with the growth I’ve had. I reached my watch hours already now just ticking away at the subs.
Let me get this straight, you had a life that was amazing in Mx. Then you uprooted it because the woman that needed help wouldn't move to enjoy your new improved lifestyle with better healthcare and a debt free life. So you moved back to suffer and she let you do this. Seems like a reasonable person.

I really feel for you, Paul and Linda. I moved back to the States with my kids during the pandemic after living abroad for 15 years. I made an exit plan earlier this year and will bid farewell to high prices, homelessness, and crime in 2025. This place ain't what it used to be. Stay strong.

Let's say I am American born living in America w great credit/scores and now have dual citizenship in Mexico. I want to buy a home in Mexico. Looking at your videos, Yave and Moxi are on top. I can qualify by myself, but looking for low interest % and low down payment. What is my best route, is it some other bank?
We are going to try to keep our place here and have a place back in the states after just being here (Mexico, now resident of Colombia) the last five years. I do not want to go, but I do miss in depth conversation that is not centered around expats or the typical "how do you like our country" conversations that seem to be the norm.

Why do I not feel this story at all? He retired in early 50’s traveled around, the beach life. Living it up.Sounds lovely and he gave it up…… For one old lady? She must have one helluva estate that they are waiting to inherit and they are afraid to piss her off. Otherwise it makes no sense. I moved my elderly mother with me and that’s where she stayed until she passed. She fit into my life. I did not give up my life for her. If she had been a millionaire and I stood to inherit millions maybe I would have built her a nice little in-law apt. She made do with my third bedroom en-suite.. sorry bub. I wouldn’t follow your sorry channel . I was widowed when my kids were little and we had little insurance because my husband had a catastrophic illness. I am still doing better than you. I own 2 houses free and clear. I travel from LA to Boston to see my kids, I snow bird when I want and travel with a pal from Singapore once a year.
That is abuse of public money .. Retire just after 25 years and then being paid for nothing more time in length than you ever worked . Why not everybody should have this then? In Germany you retire as police only after you are 60 years old

OMG!!!!!!!! I have been going to Mexico (timeshare) for over 20 years. We stay there for two weeks every year. Every time I go there and come back, I start feeling off my mark and sluggish. I have often said that I think it is parasites. In fact, I take herbs (wormwood, male fern, quassia, and cloves) when I get back. I always feel better after taking the herbs. But, the symptoms seem to return about one to two months later. So, I take the herbs every one to two months. Thus, the information in your video makes TOTAL SENSE! I cannot wait to get my hands on some Loxcell next year when I am there. Thank you SO much!!!
