It’s a WRAP for Buddy. Thank you for your contributions over the years ISAAC but the tea leaves are showing the CAVS are ready to move on with the TYSON pick. The NBA is ready to move on given he hasn’t garnered much interest in FREE AGENCY. ✌🏽
FAs we can afford if Okoro re-signs. We can only sign 2: C/F Chimezie Metu F Jordan Nwora F JT Thor F Luka Samanic C/F Kai Jones F Lamar Stevens F Anthony Gill If Okoro gets an offer & it isnt matched, Koby should sign Precious Achiuwa 2 an 8.5 mil $ deal & then sign 2 of these FAs. Now, if the Cavs work out an S&T w/Okoro & 2 SRPs 4 DFS, now that's a win 4 me. Here is my Rotation & PT distribution so far this offseason: Starters; DG-27 Spida-36 Max-21 Evan-30 JA-33 Bench; Vert (F/G)~24 Tyson (G)~21 Wade (F)~18 Niang (C/F)~15 Merrill (F/G)~15 Ty (G)~0 CPJ (G)~0 Tyson has shown n the SL that he'll make an immediate impact off the bench this year. IMO, Pete doesn't deserve a 2-way. The Nance name can only get u so far. Emoni & Luke both deserve a spot on this Cavs' roster, but since Koby have contractual control over them both, he will keep Luke overseas & Bates along w/DJ & Tomlin should b on 2-ways this year.
Work Isaiah Mobley, Jaylon Tyson or Luke Travers in at the small forward spot. You could maybe put Pete Nance in as a wing too. I'm not for trading Garland yet because he is another ball handler and can create his own shot. If he has another down year then look for trades.
He shot worse in Summer League than he did in G League last year, which wasn't very good anyway, and was a net negative. He still has no clue what he is doing on D, either.
i've seen enough from past playoff and season to say DG needs to go. he is just too inconsistent with his decision making and energy, not to mention his defense (or lack thereof). plus his need to be ball dominant clearly conflicts with Donovan, and i'd 100% go with Don. Our best streak of games last year was when DG was out and Don was at PG. DG can be a Trae Young type of player in another team, so lets trade him and get a solid SF. if we do this, we go from "undersized" to a big and lengthy 2-way lineup: Put Donovan at PG Jaylon/Max at SG get a solid SF from DG trade Mobley at PF Allen at C Backups: Craig Porter Jr (honestly think he could develop into a solid backup PG) Caris Levert/Sam Merill/Jaylon Okoro (dont let him go, he is our best wing defender. remember when they finally decided to put him on Paolo Banchero?) Dean Wade Isaiah Mobley (give this man a chance, he looks solid as a backup PF/C)
Thanks for responding! While I don’t agree with everything, I do respect your opinion and can see where this lineup could be effective. It’ll be interesting to see what the Cavs end up doing with DG.
the move is actually to play the best line ups with current players, my top starting line up would be Mobley, Wade, unknown SF , Strus , Mitchell .. play Garland and Allen off the bench and we will overpower teams during the regular season, will never happen but we would play better this way .. or go big, allen, mobley , wade, strus , mitchell .. two guards is the stupidest shit ive ever seen and never works.. and yes i know it'll never happen due to contracts, feelings and politics haha...
I think Isaiah Mobley and Emoni will both get a standard contract, and TT will be brought back on a vet minimum deal. Travers, Burns, and Nance will get the 3 two-way spots.
Really liked what I saw. He can definitely slide into that starting SF spot and bring Struss off the bench. Bates could be our bench sf, that could be a great rotation with Mobley and Garland still improving. #LetEmKnow⚔️
i would. i've seen enough from past playoff and season to say DG needs to go. he is just too inconsistent with his decision making and energy, not to mention his defense (or lack thereof). plus his need to be ball dominant clearly conflicts with Donovan, and i'd 100% go with Don. Hmmmmm....passing yea. But he still needs more weight and strength that will give him more control with handling and finishing around the rim. He just needs more time he's a baby.
Delly says Travers is an NBA player. And Bazzana coming to Cleveland means we should establish that Cleveland is the Aussie connection. Luke will be a fan favorite. The hair.
I really think keeping the big four and pivoting toward Tyson, Emoni, Travers is going to be our future. Due to cap constraints and the fact that we will pay large sums to all four people this is inevitable. Without Garland returning to all-star form and becoming a dominant off-ball player this isn't going to work.
Travers is not an NBA player and Bates is a G Leaguer. Bates is still incredibly young. We must be patient with him. In no world, is he better than Niang or Wade.
@@keiththomas3422 I’m talking about two years from now. This year in the least we can afford everyone. And Travers and Emoni and Tyson aren’t replacements for Wade.
Based off Summer League I think Emoni might’ve played himself off the team. I think the organization was disappointed with his play against Bronny and the Lakers on National TV. If not, then why was he a HEALTHY SCRATCH the next game? 🤔
My man just gave Okoro his walking papers. His offensive game is impressing me but even more so his passing and ability to read and see the floor. These aren’t just passes or assists, these are dimes
Okoro has passing and rebounding BUT he cant put the ball on the floor like that.....the cavs can trade one of these guards ....it might be DG if he doesn't have a bounce back year because they can put him at the sg....
@@itscavalierpodcast1410 it's just more quiet than usual, I really could not hear when I originally clicked. Now I'm noticing it less the second time listening but believe that I had volume turned up all the way both times (may have had the air fryer running in the background the first time, lol). Really appreciate your takes and your content. Thanks for everything!
All around player now we have to find a new home for FraudOkoro aka André Robertson he will shoot 25% at 3pts and limit the attack of another team elsewhere 🙏🏾
Call me crazy but he looks amazing. He can be a 3nD type of player but he is capable of finding his own shot when needed. Jackpot, will fit like a glove with the rest of the team.
Okoro is gone. He had plenty chances to show us something like Tyson is showing us. Cavs have all the leverage they'd need in a negotiaton, but don't even need to use the leverage now...
Tyson is the Levert replacement, they still need Okoro for his defense, guy is still only 23 and has improved every year I think keeping him is the smart move
@@richiekoesel24 No way. If Cavs resign him his contract pushes them into luxury tax, he's not worth going into tax. His defense ain't even that good, he's constantly in foul trouble, no dependable offense. Can't contribute in playoffs, boy is gone...
@@FloydPhillipsIIOkoros defensive rating indicates he’s not as good of a defender as folks think. His lack of creativity and aggressiveness on the offensive end, Tyson absolutely just gave Okoro his walking papers
Love how comfortable he looks, the jumper has impressed me honestly I knew it was solid but the form and speed is better than I thought at first. He has good enough understanding of how much space he needs to get it off and knows how to get to his spots. So glad to have him. He’s gonna be a day one contributor. Ty for the highlight tape this was clutch cause I missed the game
Looks like the Emoni Bates experiment is over. Whats his deal? 😂 He made Bronny look like a leprechaun and instead of putting his 25lbs of weight folks been ranting and raving about on dat ass he spent all night fancy dribbling around him? Then the HERO BALL three straight OPEN three point misses to end the game was BRUTAL 🤡SMH #dudejustdontgetit
