I taught myself to cobra a standard ppg wing fairly easily after kiting s few times. What gives me fits is getting it to work with my reflex wing. Is there a different technique for reflex by chance? It stands up n dances but wont come overhead. Idk i will get it eventually...
Love the video guys. Still the truth is for a small pilot the weight and size is heavy to deal with. I’ve fallen over 5 times on a MiniMot Paramotor, no big deal because of its light and smaller size, the fact is MiniMot is less risky and far safer to handle.
I got dragged in the park the other day. I've been self training(just ground handling). My glider was in the power zone and pulled me till the glider hit a tree. It was scary but thank you for this video!! Exited for my next day of training!!
So do you start out with the line paid out downwind and then inflate the glider and fly up if the wind will lift you or do you start cranking it in immediately
Im very respectful of acro and high energy manuevers. I really need to do an SIV and break that mental barrier. As a fixed-wing CFI it's my job to know the absolute limits of the aircraft and I hate not knowing that on my paraglider
Is there a paramotor group near New Orleans? Would love to watch in person. Been watching paramotor on youtube for a few years now but getting close to possibly learning to fly this year or next.
It’d be interesting to see how practical it’d be to take off by gaining takeoff speed with a hoverboard, leaving it behind for perhaps a friend to collect after takeoff
Great video!! I’m getting a PAP Tinox dual start and just cancelled an order for a Scout EFI. I’ve only flown a Scout and was shocked how comfortable a friends Tinox was. I really wish PAP came with the EFI option though. I’m grateful to my friend and for your video and a few other reviews I’ve seen, I definitely made the right choice deciding on the PAP!! Your comment at 13:09 about the “big American pilot” made me laugh. I’m in healthcare, there are WAY too many fat Americans!!!! 😂 Great video!
Hi Matt. Thanks for the nice video. Question : how’s that bolero 6 performing with the paramotor. Do you use it as your main wing ? I’ve got a large size bolero 6, using it for paragliding only, but I want to get a para motor and was wondering if I can use it for a bit - till I get a proper patamotor wing. I would love to hear your testimony on the wing suitability.
Not good anymore unless you like old stuff that goes super slow only + oscillating... Get a ITV Baja Motor if you want to have a good time in free flight + Motor flight, thank me later when you smile all the time!
Thanks for the responce@@minyardmatt ! Very goood advice. After my comment I had a chance to fly the Bolero 6 with an top 80 last Sunday and a 130cm prop. Nice and steady, but feels like the titanic 😁
